Hi Jls1216, I agree with your assessment. I don’t think that Gideon is the father of Corinne’s baby either. There simply wouldn’t have been enough time. The book mentioned that Corinne was at least four months pregnant which would have meant that she was still in France at the time she conceived. Therefore there is no way that Gideon could be the father.  It is more than likely that Corinne’s husband is the father. I am sure that a DNA test could be done on the fetus if need be to put everyone’s mind at ease (although personally I don’t think that it would ever go that far). What do you think? What does everyone think?

Hi Julie, If Anne Lucas and her brother were the two individuals caring for Gideon that is beyond disgusting! It means that Anne would have known Gideon as a child, would have heard from her husband about Gideon's claims of rape against her brother and that her husband would have covered the entire situation up. How on earth could Anne then have decided to sleep with Gideon already knowing all of this? It is beyond horrifying!  It will be so interesting to see how much Anne knew and exactly what she knew in the next book. I hope we get answers to those questions for sure!

Hi Kirsten, Do you know which company (HBO, etc.) has decided to air the Gideon TV series?

 Hi Julie, I think that Eva has made great strides towards dealing with her insecurities. It became evident when she saw the prenup and didn't just tear it up or throw it away. She stopped, took her time in the shower which gave her the opportunity to calm down and then she faced her fears-the prenup. In the end she was pleasantly surprised, I think. What do you think?

Hi Leigh, Welcome to the forum. I hope you enjoy yourself. In response to your posting, it would be nice if Elizabeth Vidal woke up and smelled the coffee. I think it would make the world of difference for Gideon to hear from his mother that she made a mistake and that she believed/believes him. I however have grave reservations whether we will get to see that judging by her actions thus far. There is always a glimmer of hope though. There are still two more books left to go in the series. Who knows.

Hi Kirsten, You make a good point about Monica. I also agree that Gideon might want a big wedding too. He is marrying the woman he loves madly afteral. I was thinking about something others had mentioned in previous postings and threads. What is the fear then of letting the media in to this event (other than the fact that they can be incredibly intrusive). If the worst case scenario played out and the sex tape was released, wouldn't it simply cause a moment's embarrassment and then blow over? There is always someone in the media getting caught doing something foolish and quite frankly far worse. What do you think? What does everyone think?

Hi Sscrph, You make a good point about Victor. It will be interesting to see just how many nuts (money) Victor has squirreled away for his retirement package. What came across to me was a single man who lives frugally. If he doesn't have a wife and other children to spend his money (other than Eva's student loans), then he may actually have managed to save a nice sum of money. What remains to be seen is whether Monica could ever accept that. What do you think? What does everyone think? Â

Hi Sharonm745, It is true. That ring does mean something to Gideon and as such Eva could see it as an honour to wear a ring that means so much to the man that she loves. The Elizabeth icing is just priceless.

Hi Kirsten, I agree with you. I don't think that Eva would cheat on Gideon regardless of whatever is going on between them. She knows just how badly she hurt him when kissed Brett and Gideon knows just how badly he hurt Eva by flaunting Corinne in Eva's face. That is the one point of the book that I am sure of.Â

Hi Everyone, I am sorry that this has played out so badly for all the other members who have had to read this. I have had two incidents with two individuals who I have had issues with in the past.  LNCronan: I never disrespected you. What I was upset by was the fact that you were unwilling in your assessments to take into considerations that we have others in this panel who have more expertise in certain subjects like; the law, medicine, obstetrics and the point I was trying to make was that when someone who has more expertise than someone else I will always defer to the higher standard or higher level of education within that subject.  If you felt so disrespected you could have sent me a private message and we could have talked things out, but you chose not to, which is fine. You are entitled to your own opinion. You can talk to or ignore whomever you wish to, but instead you decided to put this out on the forum.  I would also like to clearly state that I wasn't going after other members in the forum. What I was trying to point out was that all types and sorts of leaks had been happening well before yesterdays discussions. What upset me was the fact that I was singled out (out of all the people) which was completely inappropriate. What worse is the fact that you and others participated and then turned and pointed fingers at me which was not right.  Bullying is a very serious subject and I would be careful before such satements are made in relation to another member. This is an issue that would require the involvement of the authorities. I would welcome the prespective of a moderator, someone who can clearly and objectively look at all the postings, in all of the threads. It clear that we all do not agree which is fine. Please feel to pass my postings by and I have already done the same.Â

Hi Julie, Wowie zowie lady what a risque question!! It will be really interesting to see how Monica supported herself and Eva during the early years. If the scenario you suggested were a fact, I would think that Monica would want to avoid the limelight at all costs. Wouldn't she be afraid of one of her old clients approaching her and husband? Wouldn't someone have spilled the beans to Stanton or the others? Could Monica have been a potential victim of extortion herself? So many questions..now all we have to do is wait for Sylvia's next book.

Hi Fayeth, What you just theorized could have some devastating consequences for all parties, but my one question would be that if Gideon didn't know about Anne Lucas and her brother, do you think that maybe Anne Lucas knew about Gideon and his possible connection to her brother? Did Anne Lucas possibly bed Gideon in revenge but the plan backfired when she fell in love with him.  Although by outsider standards, it doesn't seem like Anne was the least bit affected by her fling with Gideon. That woman is one cold character. What do you think? What does everyone think?

 You also make a good point. I guess it will depend on who planted the evidence and what their motive was for doing it. Right now we the readers have so little to go on, that we are left speculating and coming up with theories of our own. I think that the next few months are going to be very interesting.Â

Hi Peachies, You come up with an interesting theory. Do you think that Detective Graves planted the evidence solely to protect her career because of her major screw up or do you think that something more may be going on? What do you think?

Hi Bookworm Both you and ShazScott1980 make good points thus far. Time will tell if Tatiana is actually pregnant and if it is Cary's baby. In the last book, I think it was mentioned that Tatiana had a boyfriend at the time that she and Cary were having sex so it very well could have been his baby too.Â

Hi Shycharn! I am so glad that you are posting! Did you know where in the book that Eva figured out that Anne Lucas was treating Corinne or are we in the speculation stage?  The Russian mob and Megumi? Holy cow!!! I hope not!!! She deserves better than that! Do you think that maybe Corinne maybe too broken to deal with a confrontation or do you think that seeing Gideon will cause her to snap altogether? Do you think that someone at the hospial that night will tell Corinne that Gideon stopped by?

Hi Readinggrrl, I think that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and this forum is designed to include everyone's opinions. We may not always agree and sometimes things get heated but please always feel free to express yourself. No one has the right to take that away from you (I am not saying that anyone has done that to do...just saying).  Sometimes different ideas or even heated discussions lead to new revelations and better understanding of the reading material and where individuals may have been coming from when they express their opinion. I value different opinions and dare I say that there may be others who values different views as well. So don't worry and feel free to post away.
