Hi Caroline,  It seems that our Cary is a wee bit of a naughty boy...he loves the ladies...and men... (well actually I was thinking something else more cheeky but that's ok). I wonder how Sylvia is going to deal with the Cary character.  Or wait, didn't Sylvia say that she let's the characters speak and she just types very quickly.. I wonder what Cary will say about his lovelife and how he wants to deal with it?  What do you think?

Hi Caroline, I don't think that liking both genders really has anything to do with whether a person will be capable of being faithful. I think that ultimately when a person is in a committed relationship, they have the choice as to whether they will remain faithful to the person they are in relationship with. Do you know what I mean?  What does everyone think?Â

  Hi Julie, I think that Gideon’s violent nightmares are a symptom of his underlying issues. I think that as soon as he starts to deal with the trauma he suffered as a child and starts talking about what happened to him as a child, then I think that the nightmares will resolve.  I also like your suggestion of separate beds. It seems reasonable given the circumstances. I am not sure if Eva could continue to fend Gideon off in one of his “nightmare†states. I think that if Eva was repeatedly force to have to defend herself against a man that she loves, it would end up draining her emotionally and ultimately the relationship wouldn’t survive. What do you think? What does everyone think?

Hi everyone, I was reading everyone’s postings and said correlations between the snapshots and the chapters. I was just wondering, are we going to be getting any snapshots of blue balls or is there going to be some kind of specific reference or snapshot that we the readers will have to decipher from?Â

 Hi Julie, I don’t think that Cary being bisexual has anything to do with whether he would be able to remain faithful or not. I think that Cary just likes men and women. In the end I think it will depend on what type of relationship Cary will want for himself. Will he want an open relationship (one where each partner has the ability to see more than one person at the same time) or will he choose a monogamous relationship (one where each person only sees the other during the course of the relationship).  I personally think that Cary started “misbehaving†after had the “discussion†with Trey. Trey wanted Cary to be something that he’s not and I think that Cary wasn’t emotionally mature enough to let Trey go and to trust that life would bring him the right partner.   Or maybe Cary didn’t want to decide which side of the fence he wanted to sit and also didn’t have the courage to tell Trey that, so he played both sides of the fence until he got caught. Who knows? What do you think? What does everyone think?

Hi Julie, I like the quotes you chose. In regards to Gideon and his nightmares, I think that this is the first time that he has ever let his guard down with someone. I think that he felt safe enough to do so, which actually speaks volumes about Eva and how much he trusts her after having known her for such a short time.  What do you think? What does everyone think?   Hi Gayle, I don’t think that Gideon would have asked Magdalene to the charity dinner and then dump her. It would almost seem out of character for Gideon. Personally I think that someone else asked Magdalene to the dinner. Maybe it was Christopher Jr. who asked her.   Who knows? What do you think? What does everyone think?  Â

 Hi Julie, I was thinking about every time that Eva initiated s** with Gideon, somehow the entire scenario always wound up disastrous! Eva initiated full s**ual intercourse with Gideon in the limo and although it was good at the time, it sent Gideon into a tailspin. The next time Eva put her two cents in, it was at the health club. Eva got impatient and was seriously turned on. As a result, Gideon may or may not have changed his plans and he and Eva wound up the hotel (and we all know how that one turned out). What do you think? What does everyone think?

What if a few of us had a few stray gray hairs that just didn't want to be tamed by hair dyes or henna or whatever. Where would a woman like that wind up  on the Gideon's interested list? Â

Hi Peachies, I agree with you. I said the same thing myself. Tatiana is absolutely responsible for her actions (who knows, maybe she loves the drama...she wouldn't be the first woman in history to love a little drama) and how those actions affect others. I too hope that Cary finds true happiness!

Hi Sscrph, It was me that stated Monica would have lost custody of Eva had she not divorced Mr. Barker. There was no way that Monica would have been able to talk, or beg, or flirt her way out of such a terrible situation. Any CPS worker would have taken a look at the situation and started asking questions about what kind of mother Monica had been thus far.  The first time that Nathan raped Eva, that was solely on Nathan's shoulders. Every subsequent time that Nathan raped Eva, some of that blame fell on Monica's shoulders. She wasn't paying attention to her daughter and it seemed that she wasn't actively involved in her daughter's life (or even Nathan's life for that fact).  I think that whatever Monica did, she did mostly for herself. I also don't think that Monica was right in keeping Victor in the dark and actually I have to wonder how she did that given Victor being a cop and his connections. What do you think? What does everyone think?

Hi Nathalia, I think that Victor should have been told about what was going on with his daughter. Victor could have protected Eva if given half of a chance. But Monica purposely kept him in the dark. Why? Did Monica have so little faith in Victor that she thought that he wouldn’t be able to help or was she afraid that Victor would blame her for her obvious mistakes? What do you think? What does everyone think?

Hi Caroline, I think that when Eva suggested that they find a nearby place, it changed everything. I don't think that Gideon intentionally intended to hurt Eva, I think that everything quickly went down hill.  I also know that Eva could have responded differently. She could have said something to Gideon but she chose not to because she was reacting. It was like watching a train wreck which is really unfortunate. It is also really interesting to see how the dialogue between these two has been slowly improving. What do you think? What does everyone think?

Hi Peachies, Oh boy are these characters ever complex! I think that each person can only ever be responsible for his/herself and no one else. So at the end of the day Tatiana couldn't be responsible for how her boyfriend may or may not have acted. But Tatiana is responsible for cheating on her boyfriend.  Since we have already established good will for others, I hope that Tatiana gets her act together what ever that may be. I hope that Cary finds someone or creates a relationship with someone who loves Cary for Cary and nothing else.   Hi Sscrph, I am in complete agreement with you! I know that some people have seen Monica’s leaving her first husband as an honourable act, but I saw it more as an act of self-preservation. She didn’t have another choice other than to lose her child and quite possibly her freedom (because of her neglect and selfishness).  At the end of the day, who cares?  I do hope that we get something by way of explaining Monica’s actions. I think the fact that Stanton stays with Monica says a lot more about him then Monica. Why is Monica desirable as a partner that someone would want to continue to clean up her messes? What is Stanton’s deal anyway?
