  1. Hi Sharonm745, Do you think that it is possible that Megumi may just be a "nosy nellie"? There are a lot of people like that out in this world. I think that Megumi may also be a little star struck because she knows how wealthy and good looking Gideon is. Wouldn't it be a real inside scoop if she was able to live vicariously through a woman who got to date an extremely weathy and good looking moguel. What do you think?
  2. Hi Julie, So long as the gossip isn't mean or hurtful, a little gossip might be ok. It can break up the tension some times. Or a friend like that can be a lot of fun on gloomy days.
  3. Hi Jennpenn926, I have trouble with postings in the past. I am not sure if there is a problem wih the website. If you are having trouble with the emails, go back and check your account settings. You may have accidentally changed something or maybe something got reset when the website went down. I have seen the server go down on at least a few ocassions. The only thing that I am not sure of is whether everyone's account automatically gets reset.  I hope that helps.
  4. Hi Julie, I think that Megumi is just one of those girls who loves a little gossip. How many of us know someone who always wants to know what is going on or always has the latest scoop? Thus far I think that everything with Megumi seems pretty innocent.Â
  5. Hi Donnad, Do you think that Christopher Jr. was really going to see his brother or do you think that he just lied to Eva in order to find an opening to invite her to the garden party. It wouldn't be beyond Christopher Jr. to lie afterall? What do you think?
  6. Hi Kaz13, I wonder what role if any; Megumi and her "boyfriend" will play in the books? Not a lot has been mentioned thus far.
  7. I have a bone to pick with Penguin Publishers, but I will deal with them later on today.Â
  8. Hi Julie, It is funny. I never even heard about the book until I flipped a channel one day and heard the president of the United States mention the books. I decided to read the book and didn't realize that it was a trillogy until I accidentally picked up the second book in the series. I went back and read the other two and I found them to be quite lovely.  I think that when any book discusses s** openly, it tends to freak people out. We call it errotic romance but what we are really talking about is "soft pr**".  Instead of taking a book for what it is; an enjoyable summer read, people foolishly start comparing it to other literary works. Whom are we kidding here? Let's get real here people.  I think that people don't like the idea of se**ality out in the open. They like to hide in their closets and pretend that they are not se**al creatures who have needs and desires. It seems that the only time se****** gets discussed is either very graphic or very derrogatory. It is a shame that people can't be a little more mature about the entire subject.Â
  9. I am glad that Friday is coming soon. All I can say is that I am so glad that the book has been released...Â
  10. Hi Chenolyn, I am looking forward to discussing the book on Friday too!  I will rest easy until though. How about you?
  11. Hi ShazScott1980, Did the audio version of the third book come out today as well? I was under the impression that the audio books are released later than the printed matter. Am I wrong?
  12. Hi Julie, I didn't pay attention to the opinions of others (when it comes to book reviews). I never have. I always have to read a book for myself before I can assess whether I like it or not. Everyone is always entitled to their own opinion. The only thing that I ask is that before someone express said opinion; read the book.  I saw a lot of this going on with Fifty Shades of Grey and I found it appaling and unprofessional. I had seen several shows in a row discussing the books and the hosts were admitting left, right and centre that they hadn't read the books. Well how on earth could they intelligently discuss the books and their subject matter?    I think that these "reporters" only made themselves and their respective shows look bad. I can hardly wait until Friday to discuss the book.
  13. Hi Sheens263, I must  say that you are one dedicated fan! Be careful when you drive lady. 9-5 is a great musical! It showcases a lot of Dolly Parton's music. She is one seriously talented lady!
  14. Ok then....mums the word...my lips are sealed....Â
  15. Hi Julie, What I see is an overflow of frustration and a lot of hooplah that people have had to deal with for months. I also see that some of the speculation has been so incredibly wild and outrageous that maybe some people's expectations may not have been met with the latest book.  Everyone is always entiled to their own opinion. It is always a slippery slope when one speculates. If the expectations become too high, I am not sure that the reader will ever be satisfied. What do you think?
  16. Hi Julie, I am glad and very relieved that the book is finally out. I know that there is a strict vow of silence until Friday so I will honour that and say that I can HARDLY WAIT TO DISCUSS THE BOOK!!!!  I am not giving a single, solitary thing away until Friday....let's just say that I have a SMILE on my FACE!!!  If you are reading this for a second time; what did you think of the book?
  17. Wait, Has everyone started talking about the book yet? What's going on?
  18.  Hi Julie, I hope that Sylvia addresses this subject in one of her final books. She doesn't need to write chapters about it, but it would be nice if she added a paragraph or two. I wouldn't want to read all five books in the series and still be left with questions if there weren't going to be anymore books.Â
  19.  Hi Eveningstar1996, I hope that Sylvia does address this at some point. It would be really nice if she was able to tie up all the loose ends within the five books. In that way, the reader won't still be left with questions. Now all we have to do is keep our fingers crossed and hope.
  20. Hi Peachies, I agree with your assessment. I absolutely agree that Nathan was mentally ill. Which mental illness he suffered from I am not sure that we the readers will ever know. There has been so much speculation, but I will hold out until I hear it from Sylvia's mouth (as the saying goes).Â
  21. Hi Julie, Thank you for the information. I hope that Walmart gets fined. Again, I say I am glad for the ladies who got their books early. I just blame the stores for this situation.   Do you have your book yet? If not, when are you supposed to get your book in the UK?
  22. Hi Everyone, Â I also thought about "Waiting for a Girl Like You"Â by Foreigner. Â Â Â "Waiting For A Girl Like You" Â So long I've been looking too hard, I've waiting too long Sometimes I don't know what I will find I only know it's a matter of time When you love someone When you love someone It feels so right, so warm and true I need to know if you feel it too Maybe I'm wrong Won't you tell me if I'm coming on too strong? This heart of mine has been hurt before This time I wanna be sure I've been waiting for a girl like you To come into my life I've been waiting for a girl like you A love that will survive I've been waiting for someone new To make me feel alive Yeah, waiting for a girl like you To come into my life You're so good When we make love it's understood It's more than a touch or a word we say Only in dreams could it be this way When you love someone Yeah, really love someone Now, I know it's right From the moment I wake up till deep in the night There's no where on earth that I'd rather be Than holding you, tenderly I've been waiting for a girl like you To come into my life I've been waiting for a girl like you And a love that will survive I've been waiting for someone new To make me feel alive Yeah, waiting for a girl like you To come into my life I've been waiting, waiting for you, ooh Ooh, I've been waiting I've been waiting, yeah I've been waiting for a girl like you I've been waiting Won't you come into my life? My life? Â
  23. Hi Everyone, What about: Almost Paradise?  It is by Mike Reno and Anne Wilson.   "Almost Paradise"  I thought that dreams belonged to other men 'Cause each time I got close They'd fall apart again I feared my heart would beat in secrecy I faced the nights alone Oh, how could I have known That all my life I only needed you Ooh, almost paradise We're knockin' on heaven's door Almost paradise How could we ask for more I swear that I can see forever in your eyes Paradise It seems like perfect love's so hard to find I'd almost given up You must have read my mind And all these dreams I've saved for a rainy day They're finally comin' true I'll share them all with you 'Cause now we hold the future in our hands Ooh, almost paradise We're knockin' on heaven's door Almost paradise How could we ask for more I swear that I can see forever in your eyes Paradise And in your arms salvation's not so far away It's getting closer Closer every day Almost paradise We're knockin' on heaven's door Almost paradise How could we ask for more I swear that I can see forever in your eyes Paradise Paradise Paradise
  24. Hi Everyone, I was thinking about what everyone was saying about how to go about setting up how to handle the book discussions. Might I suggest that we first start out by giving our impressions on what we all thought about the book and how some of the theories may or may not have panned out.  If we start out that way, it may give the readers another opportunity to go back and reread the book again if anyone so choses to do so. It may also give each person time to digest and assess what they read before we go into an in-depth analysis of what we read.  In that way, if we have each had some time to give our general impressions first, then when we go back and analyse, we may come from more solid literary ground.  What does everyone think?
  25. Hi Skydive617, Thank you for the information. What I was referring to was for the ladies who received their books early, which stores did they buy them at? There has to be a way to avoid this in the future. If Wal**** for example released the books early, then they should be fined or better yet, they should lose the rights to sell the next installment of the series.  It just makes it really unfair for all of the other retailers who honoured the publishing request. I am glad for the ladies who got their books early. I am just disappointed for the rest who had to wait.Â
