Ideas on how to set up spoiler threads for Entwined starting June 4?
GiGi replied to LN Cronan's topic in The Crossfire Saga
If this keeps up, then we are all going to end up attending Sylvia Day University. The only decisions that we will have to make is which book we would like to major/or minor in...Bared To You, Reflected In You, Entwined In You....sigh! -

Hi Bookworm, If you have a post-office box or an address where a book can be sent, then I will send you a book from Canada. I can assure you that book will arrive before your bookstore fills up its shelves. I would be more than happy to do that for you. Let me know.  GiGi -
EL James did a great interview on the "Katie Show". I am sure that if people looked they could find that interview posted online. I thought that the author did a very good job of explaining her position about the characters in her book and why those characters were they way they were. I have a lot of respect for EL James and her defense of her books and storyline.  That interview gave me a lot of insight. I am very glad that I got to see that interview. I also gained even more respect for EL James.   If you get a chance or are interested, you may want to watch that interview.

One Chapter A Day - Re-Read Of Bared and Entwined
GiGi replied to LN Cronan's topic in The Crossfire Saga
Hi KiMa, I am sorry I couldn't find your original posting so I am posting a response to your questions about Fifty Shades of Grey and SD's books. I also read Fifty Shades of Grey and it appears that there are similarities between the two storylines in that the issue of food is mentioned.  On one hand, we have the Christian character who insisted on controlling Anastasia to the point of trying to dictate what she ate. Ultimately that issue died a painful death because Anastasia put her foot down and made that a deal breaker.  Anastasia never saw food as a pleasure but more of a means to an end. She ate to sustain life and often times the action of eating was merely an after-thought.  Whereas, Eva takes pleasure in the act of eating. Gideon never had an issue with what food and how much food Eva consumed or he never sought that much control over Eva and her body. Therefore Eva was able to exert her own will over what she would ultimately consume or allow into her body.  The act of eating can be extremely pleasurable and as such the diner might get an unguarded glimpse into what kind of pleasure someone might derive from just the act of eating. I think that Gideon and Arnoldo were inadvertently turned on by Eva’s moans and groans of pleasure (Gideon-because he has heard Eva’s pleasured moans before and Arnoldo-because he may have cooked the food that Eva was enjoying so much). Just my thoughts… -
Hi Smartyj55, I think the point was lost. I suggested that you read the form posts for yourself so that you can come up with your own conclusions first before considering other opinions. Maybe I am not phrasing this well...

Wow, that comment has elicited some really harsh gleeful comments. Unbelievable.

Hi Sscrph, Your theory is beautiful. -
What about "Beloved By You"?

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. It is just a shame that people go to such extremes on the internet. I think some people believe that because they are on the internet, they can post what ever they want to (hateful and such) without any fear of reprisal. It really says a lot about the person doing the posting.  On the other hand if someone is dissatisfied with how the books are being released, they can contact the publishers directly and not buy any further books in the future. I am absolutely sure that will get the attention of a huge publishing firm. If all of the people who were dissatisfied with the situation and each of those people individually wrote a letter and stated that they were not going to buy any further books that would get their attention.  They would have to hire someone to open all of those letters (If the letters were in the thousands or even tens of thousands). Each person could then inform their local bookstore or bookchain that they were cancelling or not buying the book because of the way that the publishing company had dealt with the release date (the bookstore, etc. would then report those comments to their distributors, etc.). The accounting department would have to crunch the numbers of all of the sales that they would have reported lost (through the letters, or Barnes & Noble, Amazon, Chapters, etc.). Then hopefully the consumer would see change. Spouting nonsense and hatred does nothing but make the person who spews that garbage out, look ignorant.  I wouldn't worry too much about Ms. Sylvia. I am sure that she is making huge sums of money from these books and such, God bless her and good for her, so I think that she is well prepared for this type of nonsense. Something tells me, she is going to be just fine.

I often wonder what types of questions authors get and how those questions are written might make a huge difference in whether the reader will receive a prompt reply or not. Just a thought.Â
-
Hi Sscrph, What made EL James' writing less polished in your opinion?Â
-
It is unfortunate that you can't have only good without some bad. It comes with the territory.  Perhaps the publishers will look at the forums and FB forums and see what is going on. I hardly think that they oblivious to what has been going on.Â

Hi Gabri, It will take anywhere from 10-30 days for a book to clear through Amazon.com and then travel internationally where it will take anywhere from 10-16 days to clear customs. You are better off buying the book at your local bookstore unfortunately. The shipping and importing laws are very strict and depending on what the relations are between each country,  you may end up waiting longer.  That was my personal experience when I lived in Italy (as well as in other parts of Europe at the time). -
Very interesting. I read and intrepreted how Eva described herelf (and what she was like back in the day) completely differently.Â

Hi Smartyj55, A lot of these questions have been hotly debated on the "Spoiler" thread. If you have the time or the inclination, feel free to read that thread. Once you start reading, you will find that the time will fly by. You will know who wrote what and who had which opinion. You can then make up your mind for yourself. I hope that helps.
-
Hi Sheens, No need to thank me. Once you get started, I am sure that you won't have any trouble reading the postings and following the discussions. From there you will be able to make up your own mind (combined with the books you have already read or are reading). I am sure that you will come to your own intelligent conclusions. You are smart. You are capable. You can do it.

Hi Sheens263, I know that Sylvia mentioned that the stain on Gideon's cuff was blood. As for the question about Nathan and why he was outside of the Crossfire Building that second time, there has been much debate about that question. Many of the members have had different theories. If you have the time or the inclination I suggest that you go to the "Spoiler" thread and look through those postings. You will have the opportunity to see who wrote what and what the speculations of that day were. I hope that helps you.

I think that we have some brilliant online petitioners on this forum. I am sure you could all arrange something.
