GiGi Posted April 19, 2013 Report Posted April 19, 2013 Yes. This is after all a love story and not a mystery or crime of some sort.   Hi KiMa, Your skepticism has renewed my faith and hope in Gideon. Now all I have to do is hold on until June 4th to find out for myself what exactly happened. Quote
GiGi Posted April 19, 2013 Report Posted April 19, 2013 Not sure what to say without offending anyone..! So I guess we all can agree to disagree..! But Kima It did cross my mind that yes she answered the question but she didn't detail it, if angus, Monica or Stanton had anything to do with it and it was Gideon's idea that Nathan needed to be killed then technically " he did kill him" he would be just as guilty as the person that actually killed Nathan because planning and knowing about a murder before hand makes you no better than that person..! So why would it make a difference if he actually did it or him having a hand in knowing or help planning it..!? He would still be a murderer the LAWS eyes..!! ( I'm Just Saying..!!) Hi MrsCrossfire, I don't think that there is any way you could offend anyone. I think everyone loves these characters and has come to their own conclusions based on their understanding of the storyline. If anything your opinion adds more spice to an already spicy topic. Yes. I want to find out on my own and I don't even trust it coming from SD at this point. I want to read it in EWY and have or written "in stone in you will" and let me digest and contemplate. Lol. Even when she said it and I heard it, I didn't even believe it. So yes, let's just wait till June and continue to keep our unwavering faith. Quote

MrsCrossfire Posted April 19, 2013 Report Posted April 19, 2013 Hi MrsCrossfire, Do you think that Gideon killed Nathan? What's your take on the situation? I always thought if he didn't then he well played apart in it..!! For me it really doesn't matter if he did it or not I'm just happy Nathan is gone..! I wouldn't love Gideon any less if he had done the deed himself..! :) Quote

Hi MrsCrossfire, I am glad that Nathan is gone too. I would just be sad if Gideon is the one who killed him. I think that he would have to carry such a heavy burden for the rest of his life and I think that he and Eva have already been through so much. I wouldn't want him to suffer any more than he already has. Sigh! Quote

Yes, my thoughts exactly. For her to be all closed up and randomly say this was just odd and is a ruse I think. It wasn't like she was caught off guard. And then why not just disclose a proper statement to us loyal fans re: release of that chapter or an official status. Well even if she did post on FB I won't believe her. Lol. When I have my copy of EWY in my hands and reading for myself then I will go by what's there and being as this is a series who knows. Unless it is tight up I would continue to read maintain my faith till the conclusion of this series. Funny but I believe Gideon and Eva and their love and not SD even if she has given "life" to these characters . Lol. They have transformed into something more than a book and something much bigger than SD actually. Quote

julie54 Posted April 19, 2013 Report Posted April 19, 2013 Ladies We have made these characters real life. We have fed our imaginations with all manner of information, which we have been gifted by Sylvia or just by general everyday living. Research has been done ie master keys for hotels, lol- thank you Gigi. I'm sure we shall continue with our theories until all avenues are exhausted. But boy it's fun! Long may it continue. X Quote

Yes, yes we all enjoy that but surely there has to be more!    I want more! I demand more (wink, wink)!    Quote
KiMa Posted April 19, 2013 Report Posted April 19, 2013 I must say, the master key research had me lol but it goes to show that these characters is way bigger like they have really come to life. Each day, I am drawn back to these characters. Before I go to bed, I have to get my fix. On my way to work, during work breaks. Phew! Talk about obsession. Quote

X  Hi Julie54, You are correct in that our imaginations are often so much better than our realities. I am a 42 year old woman who has yet to find herself a husband.  As far as my relatives are concerned, I am a complete oddity! I even think that my father secretly subscribes to a "goat herder" catalogue in hopes of finding me a husband (just kidding...sort of...).   So seeing as I am still an unmarried woman, I want Gideon to be innocent. I need this gorgeous, beautifully gifted man to be innocent. If I must suffer the indignities and subtle insults from my clan for not being married than surely Sylvia and the Universe can grant me this one simple request! Hi KiMa, Maybe it is a good thing that I am not married right now. I too have devoted so much time to these books, that I probably would have had issues with a relationship. As it is, all my friends ears have probably fallen off from me discussing and dissecting one theory after another.  I am so glad and grateful that you ladies share the same enthusiasm and passion for these books as I do! Thank you! :) Quote

julie54 Posted April 19, 2013 Report Posted April 19, 2013 Gigi When I talk about this book- and I've been told I go on about it too much!. I love it for the story of 2 broken lovers trying to have a relationship, heck the sex is awesome, we would all love a Gideon in our lives! But it's not just about the sex. The abuse storyline had my stomach in knots, the angst and heartbreak just made theses characters so real. After Sylvia's revelation I felt deflated. Not poor Gideon, hasn't he suffered enough. Perhaps the murderer was the pizza delivery guy, cos Nathan didn't give a decent tip. Ever hopeful. X Quote

Hi AMC, I love it when other people post their opinions and theories! It provides such a great opportunity to explore different ideas that I may not have thought of before. It also enriches my experiences of Sylvia's books. Quote
julie54 Posted April 19, 2013 Report Posted April 19, 2013 Gigi. I'm a 54 year old widow. I've read these books so many times, my daughter s starting to question my sanity! I glad you lot don't think I'm mad. Lol Quote
