When should we start the chapter reviews with the corresponding chapter pictures? I've finished my re-read but I'm all over the place with questions and comments ! Lol.

Like when Gideon says that he would've taken both the groupies who came on to him backstage at 6/9th concert... teach them a lesson ...and remembering how other women reached into the hotel drawers to get a condom ....how many had he been with?? How aggressive was he?

And for Eva.. Why does the manager of 6/9 th have Eva's email? Why would she want to remain friends w Brett ? How would that be ok for ANYONE?? It took seeing him w her look-a-like to realize what? The fact that Gideon told her that he took care of the tape has got to be the only reason why that hadn't come up in conversation w Brett before he showed her the pic at Bryant Park...right?? How is that not her first thought when she saw Brett in Cali ??

Idk, I'm pretty frustrated.

Cary seems just so ungrateful . Gideon is giving him his apartment on Fifth Ave for free..and offers to redecorate...he comes back w snippy remarks rather than thanks? I wouldn't accept the renovation at the very least...he's getting so much.

Great thought ...who ever said Anne was seeing him! I could see that! She slipped him her number maybe? Or she contacts him somehow? Maybe she practices under her maiden name? How creepy if she was in their apartment .

I'd reall love to know what victor and Gideon talk about. I wonder how much Victor really knows.

I have to remember that this is all fictional lol...

Oh! I was hoping to see Jax and Gia ....maybe Jax as one of Gideon's friends lol. Maybe w Gia doing something with Food Network and Arnoldo Hopefully in OWY.

I was also hoping to hear more about Victor and Gideon's past/present conversations .

Haven't started my second read... So, I'm going to take some notes lol.

Also, I really like Gideon's friends/ employees. I also liked that Eva invited Maggie out with them. She looked happy.

Det. Graves is cool too. She seems like she's looking out for Eva...telling her things to maybe ease her mind.

Hello Ladies! Nice to see new and old members  again! I've just finished...my kindle died at chapter 19 at 2am...so had to wait til morning to finish.

 

I'm going to give it a re-read and maybe to some highlighting...but I do want to say 'yay'! to some things we had figured out:

 

-Clancy    Love  him now! I'm so glad that done and over w/ .

-Brett....ugh...not a fan. I was hoping he didn't know, but really, how could he not of. I do like that Gideon went to CA and then dealt w/ him again in NY. I had no problem w that. Eva was a fool w/ him...really? His picture tagged to his number in your phone? Do you really need a picture of your ex f-buddy? You're MARRIED!? But, it seems he got the point, and maybe realized that they were not going to happen again.. I agree she def gave mixed signals, and has changed since they were last together.

-Chris Snr. Love him too! He was devastated for Gideon! How sad...I honestly believed him that he didn't know.  I'm glad he took care of Dr. Lucas , Elizabeth better come to her senses now and try to fix this. She's a mess!

- Ireland is great! I'm so glad she seems like a sweet girl who wants to connect w/ her big brother. I like how he didn't mention why her parents were fighting, but reassured her that they'd work it out. I don't know if Chris will really leave her....anyone think he will? I mean, his son could have been violated too...not sure if he was in therapy also.

- Corrine....ugh! Seriously!?!? Please tell me; when did she write this book? When? She's so quick to try and win Gideon back after her suicide attempt and miscarriage? That's just disgusting. Where's her husband? He must be reeling...he lost a child. I would've liked Gideon to ask her that when they met at Arnoldos...

-Anne....makes me sick. She's just sickening...

- Deanna....maybe she really will just go away...hoping so.

-Cary...he was just wishy-washy...Idk...I felt like he added nothing. Is he really going to move Tatiana into Gideon's apartment? I wouldn't like that at all. Nope..He should offer rent then or something.

-Monica....she was ok. I don't see the big deal in only having to plan the reception....that's the biggest part of the wedding-the party. I love that Victor is going to actually take care of the wedding itself. I don't know if I like that's its going to be in NC. I feel like they are going to have people there they really don't want, in their private place. I know Eva said small, but they have to have their immediate family come...so Elizabeth and Chris Jr. will be there im sure...and hopefully they don't create bad memories.

Eva annoyed me this entire book. Sorry, she did. She was acting very immature and bratty. Does she not realize who she's married to? I understand her need to make her own decisions, but Gideon really was  just looking out for her. All of these people are out to get them...

I agree that Gideon should have told her about Mark, but she just went off the handle. She could still work w/ Mark, he's why she loves her job so much.

 

Ok, I said a lot and I was going to come back...LOl...Still fresh .

 

Love Gideon, I feel bad for him really. Eva could've made a few situations easier for him...but that's why he loves her, right?

I couldn't help myself either....I read the first three chapters! Arghh    Eva is annoying me already! What could she possibly have to say to Brett other than asking about the tape? What feelings could she have for him? Especially after that video..how embarrassing. I'm on Gideon's side about this. No, maybe he shouldn't have mentioned Corrine...but Eva KNOWS he would never do anything with her...

 

Eva really never told her mom she was engaged the day before?! How is that possible?...I don't like that either...To have her  mom find out from someone other than her,and she was with her too! I'd love to know what Gideon said to Victor...both in this book and last

 

I like Arnoldo...you can't blame him for being concerned about his friend. What I'd like to know is who all of the other women were that loved him...how long was he with them? Are they the same women he took to the hotel? Oh! And he's selling the hotel! For Eva...yet another thing he's doing for her b/c she hates it.

 

It's sad to see how much Gideon doesn't like himself   And with the book alternating POV's you can see how obsessed he is with Eva. It's nice to see how happy he is chatting w. Ireland....no so much w. his mom lol.

 

Well...one week to go! I just hope there are a lot of questions answered and happy moments in this book.

What if the bruises Gideon has from that teaser were from Eva? What if they were asleep together and he attacked her again ? Maybe she fought him off pretty hard . That could be why he's so upset and angry . Just a thought

Brett better not be making any problems ... And Eva should not be anywhere near him anymore...ever :(

Random question: has anyone read Outlander? I ask only because I see its a series on Starz now. I wonder how true it is to the book , and if fans of the book like the actor choices . I wonder when The Crossfire Series will be on tv! :)

I think you're right D500... I see a man in a tux/suit w. a boutonniere...singing papers w/ a wedding ring, a woman w/ her hands clasped also wearing a ring....and a high powered camera. Certainly  looks like a scene from a wedding...Could it be G&E already?

 

I really hope this book doesn't add a lot of drama ...lol..I know I know....but really....they had enough in book 3. Eva annoyed me so much w/ her dealings w/ Brett...She needs to cut him off...why would she want any contact w/ him? Especially knowing how he feels about her. Hopefully he's not behind the s*x tape.

Corinne needs to go. She's very selfish...with how she's been w/ Gideon and Eva...but also w/ her husband...knowing (most likely) that she was pregnant and still taking medications etc. And why would her family call Gideon when she was at the hospital?!

Deanna needs to be gone...let her get what Gideon promised her and just get out of their lives...Doubtful though....especially seeing how she was in Afterburn/Shock .

Something in that snippet Sylvia posted had Gideon very very angry and upset....what could it be?!

I want to know if Cary knows yet that it was Nathan who attacked him.

 

Also, one last thing...Eva had mentioned to Cary that her parents hadn't been near each other ever, that she could remember ( did I say that right?)...but how could that be? I can't see Victor not being at any of her school graduations or special events in her life. Could she have just been exaggerating?

I think Cary is good for Eva ... I don't blame him for being upset with her for not telling him about Gideon .. I mean they live together. Does he even know who beat him ? Did Eva tell him ? I don't remember .

So, I've just started the In Death Series by J.D. Robb....I like it! There are so many books! I also didn't realize it's set in the future. I was a bit confused when Eve was talking to her shower lol. I'm 4 books in....so far so good

Ugh...I did not like the 'This Man' series at all...

Love all of Samantha Youngs' books...she's great w. her fans too, like Sylvia on FB.

Hi GLH, have you read "On Dublin Street" by Samantha Young. A great story with great sex scenes & ...don't hit me... but I liked the male & female main characters more than Eva & Gideon. (they come in second). Her writing is an easy read & very witty.

Dgaffeine, I LOVE the On Dublin St series ! Especially Braden and Joss... Love them . Do u ever go on Samantha youngs website? She puts extra scenes from some of the books on there. It's great :)

Yes, I definitely think that Jax and Gideon run in the same circles too. And Gia and Eva would really get along! They both love their jobs, food, and their men. Plus they both hate Deanna! Lol. Maybe these are the friends that get invited to the party Eva wants to have?

It would be great if they were in the Crossfire Series too..

 Love Gia and Jax! Gia is amazing, so is her family. I really don't like Jax's family...Ted is his brother or cousin? I don't remember.

The fighting was great! I wanted more answers tho. The fact that Jax knew how many guys Gia had been w/ is a little creepy, I would've like for her to push for more answers to that.  And why did he wait so long to try and get her back? If he'd been keeping tabs on her since he left, and had the apartment in NYC for year.

 

I like that we found out that Gia did try and contact him....w/ the phone calls and email. He can't be mad at her for not trying more, I don't think.

 

I'm glad to know Lei and Ian's story too. I was hoping that Lei hadn't done anything wrong.

 

I also like that things worked out well w/ Chad...too bad Stacy was so selfish.

 

And then there's Deanna. Oh boy oh boy. LOVE how Gia handled her! I wonder what she had to do to not get the story published...it cost her her job. Maybe she said it was false?  Either way...she's def not good people. So, I'm a little worried for GidEva...unless this happened before, and she's now learned her lesson? Probably not tho.
