    Nope, nothing yet :(  Hopefully soon.

    So, if CBY is supposed to come out before the end of the year, when do we think that will be?

    Afterburn (loved it!) came out in Aug

    Spellbound in Oct

     and

    Aftershock (can't wait!) in Nov....Maybe Dec? B/c there hasn't been any word on CBY and it's almost Sept.

    Anyone else want to discuss Afteburn on the other thread? Lol...something to pass the time? It was only 10 chapters....so not much to discuss, I know.. ;)

    Btw, EWY is $5 on Amazon right now...I paid $10 lol..and Afterburn is $1.99...such a deal!

    I'd like a whole chapter dedicated to Jax explaining what the heck is going on w/ him, his family and Pembrey. Why was Jax sent to Yeung? Or was he sent for Gia so that she'd get messed up about it, and then that would mess w/ Yeung? I re-read it again last night. I'm really enjoying this book. Seriously, all of Sylvia's books!

    I do really like Gia though. Maybe Jax will show up in Atlanta...maybe Gia and Chad are partying at a club at the hotel...lol..then Jax shows up ( B/c he always seems to know where she is!) and things go down!

    Heehe...just my imagination. :)

    I really don't know why I read it..<<Sigh>> Til November.

    OK ladies.  Now I find this incredibly----coincidental.  I just finished AFTERBURN.  Oh, how I wish it weren't so short.  Anyway, in the last chapter, Gia is asking her brother to have his ex named DEANNA, a reporter, to look into someone for her.  With all the millions of names in this world, isn't this a bit………odd?????  Just saying.

    Lol GLH....I know! They've gotta be the same person....we were talking about it on the Afterburn/shock thread. How funny is that! She's across the stories! :) I was saying, I hope she's a nice person and I wonder if its before or after her encounter w/ Gideon.

    Hello ladies,

    Totally enjoyed Afterburn. Love Gia and her family to bits. And Lei I think there's more to her story with Ian. At the charity in D.C he said something along the lines I don't have a heart because someone broke it. So did Lei cheat on him? Did he branch out on his own because he felt betrayed by Lei and was just getting back at her?

    Jax maybe was keeping tabs on Gia because of her safety. He said something about being with Rutledge on the phone when he called Gia after she the penthouse.

    Deanna being in this book I like. Maybe it's a sign will say adios to her in the next book.

    Now I also love the Olvia Pope line. I know Sylvia is also a fan of Scandal.

    All in all I really enjoyed the book.

    Yes! That 'broken heart' comment def means something! Maybe she tried to sabotage Ian first, he finds out, and pulls the rug out from under her!  I wonder what the comment about Jax dad's new wife being intimate w/ Ian means....gag...

    Yes, I wonder if we see Deanna before or after her night w/ Gideon in this book...Maybe she really is nice after all...I do hope she's nice in CBY and really is trying to help Gideon out /w the stupid sex tape. I wondered if Sylvia was going to entwine Crossfire and Afterburn/shock! lol

     

    Hey ladies

    From what I have read in reviews the intention was for these to be short and really make up one final book when put together.

    I liked the story, loved how feisty Gia was.

    I think in the past Jax also loved Gia but didn't fully realise she felt the same (hence the photos). He broke up with her to both protect himself from heartbreak and her from the secrets of his family. He is scared if he is in love the same fate that happened to his mother who married his dad for love would happen to them or her?

    Just my thoughts, am probably completely wrong :)

    Right, maybe he realized how much he was falling for her back then, and hoped to get out of it before she fell for him and broke her heart. What was it he said, " I didn't know you were in love w me"...something like that?

    I'm not liking his dad...Skeevy

     

    I think he is trying to protect Gia from his family. Remember at the beginning he told her that he tried to walk away from her, but it didn't stick. I think he loves her and he thought he was doing the right thing by leaving her. Ugh, i am so mad at myself that i have to wait for another book! I should have waited, but i am obsessed with Sylvia's books :)

    I agree! He said something like 'Don't make me turn you into one of them!'...I think that says a lot. I wonder how much he's told Ian and his father about her though, since they know of her.

     

    I'm thinking that Allison is Gia's Anne !  but not a Corrine since don't think she had a relationship with Jax !  LOL 

     

    I love all of the Rossi brothers, maybe we will get stories about them in the future (like SD's Georgian series) and with the setting being in NYC it's possible that we might see some our old friends(?) from Crossfire.  She had a Gideon cameo appear in one of her other short stories about a diamond robbery - Blood & Roses.  

     

    This is a great story line and it will interesing to see where it goes next.  In the meantime bring on the new Crossfire snippets and snapshorts :)

    Ugh...I hope there's no lady drama..Gia's gotta get some answers tho!

    Love the Rossi brothers! I hope they get their own stories too...or maybe one nice big book w/ three stories of them :)  I wonder what they were thinking when they were playing basketball lol

     

    Anyone else think Jax will be following Gia to Atlanta?

    I could totally see Savor and Cross Industries joining together for some kind of business/ restaurant  combo. Gideon does have his hand I a lot of businesses ..lol..Maybe Gia and Eva become BFFS! Ha! Now I'm really being silly. :)

    I didn't know Gideon was in another book! Gotta read it!

    Ugh...can't believe I did this to myself -again! I said i wasn't going to start a series if it wasn't complete ...but Lol.

    This was sooo gooood! Didn't want it to end . I love Gia! Shes so strong and determined. Jax, I feel like eventually I will love him too....he's def protective of Gia . Love that he has pics of her at his apartment .

    Deanna is in here! Omg! How funny is that ?!

    Love Gia's family :) they make me feel so warm and cozy lol...I def understand the family restaurant business , so I really like that .

    Confused on a couple of things tho;

    Initially ,when Gia ,Lei and the Williams twins in the bar , Gia and leis outfits are described , then later that day when they're back at their office , jax is described as being changed into a suit , but both Gia and leis outfits seem different ( Gia w a navy blouse instead of gold , an lei in back sling backs instead of boots). Idk ...maybe I'm wrong.

    I wonder how Jax managed to show up everywhere Gia was. Not gonna lie, kinda hoped she was going to hook up w Chad before they reconnected. I wonder how Atlanta will go.

    Anyone else read ?

    I've just pre-ordered. Little bummed though that I didn't get it for $2.99...got it for $3.03....whopping $.04 difference! LOl....still cheaper on Amazon then anywhere else.  So excited! Hate that we have to wait for the rest :(

    Ok where to begin? I love all the theories.

    It is true that Gideon misled Corrine but how misleading was he when he told her that they could only be friends? She knew this going in when he was trying to protect Eva. She was delusional that is a given. When Gideon and Eva had the conversation about her he said he had nothing else to say to her because she had tried to make Eva believe that they(Gideon and Corrine) had slept together twice.

     

    I don't think that the fact that G and E are married is going to get out before second wedding. The news of the engagement is out now via the red carpet for the charity dinner.

    CBY is going to start with s e x scene from Thursday night Friday morning. Gideon and Eva are going to argue about her going to SD, because G already knows that Brett is going to be there. He is going to reluctantly let her and Cay go by themselves then follow maybe on Saturday.

    Eva is going to have a talk with her dad about Gideon and her "engagement" and pending wedding.

    As we have seen people with money can pull a wedding together in a matter of weeks via the Kardashians, so this will not be a problem for them.

    I also think that Eva told her mother that Gideon proposed before the charity dinner otherwise she would have a problem telling everybody else when her own mother did not yet know. As everybody said she was wearing her ring and I don't think Monica would have not noticed.

     

    I think that the showdown with Lizzie happens after the SD trip cause Eva tells Gideon that Lizzie confronted her at the dinner.

    I also think that they discover that is was Anne at the dinner and that is also another showdown in itself. If she is trying to get back at Gideon she is only hurting herself in the long run. If she doesn't already know about her brother she will learn about him in this book, because part of the showdown involves Gideon telling her why he treated her the way he did.

     

    On the way to SD I think Eva confides in Cary and tells him everything cause it is killing her not to. The mountain of lies between them is going to come tumbling down so Eva will feel better about her relationship with Cary.

    It's going to come out that either Tat is not pregnant or it is somebody else's baby. Trey is going to stand by his man because he loves Cary. He is trying his best to accept Cary for who he is. I don't think that Trey would stay with him if he didn't love him. He doesn't like the fact that Cary is bi but he is dealing with it.

     

    I think Ireland is going to do a lot of hanging with Eva and Gideon once the Showdown with Lizzie takes place and I also think Christopher Jr. is going to be apart of the showdown but the problems between him and Gideon aren't solved until book 5.

     

    I know I am all over the place but I have so many things running through my head right now I will be back later to finish my thoughts LOL :)

    Nathalia--loved the Stark series and Gabriel series.  Totally different but loved them both.

    Ok, I'll give them a try! I just don't want to pay $10 a  book and not enjoy it. Only w/ Crossfire will I do that b/c I know I'll enjoy SD books! lol  :)

     

    I loved the Stark Series, but I also loved the Blackstone Series.

     

    If the bluntness of sexual language in the Blackstone books bothered you,  then I wouldn't read the Stark series because it too has that language.

    I read the sample of Release me...it looks good. I don't think the language bothers me too much anymore...lol...not after the Crossfire series...

     

    I really enjoyed the Stark series too. You have to go in with a clear head tho and try not to compare to Crossfire. But as someone mentioned the language and sex is quite blunt lol!

    I like Ethan in the Blackstone series....he was soo intense, but I liked him. Maybe it's b/c it felt too predictable. I liked the ending...very sweet :)

    Ok, just finished the Blackstone series....gotta say...didn't love it :( Sorry! Idk why! Maybe too predictable? Too I don't know what...I was really looking forward to it too..

    Maybe I just compare to the Crossfire Series too much lol

     

    I want to try the Stark series. Is it worth it? The Gabriel series too....I see the first book is over 500 pages!

     

    Just got Losing Hope...want to start that  after my romance break when I'm done reading And the Mountains Echoed.

    I'm just thinking this over in my mind and it just occurred to me that Gideon must really have been p is s sed that he was cuffed at all!

    True! He must've been so angry that he had to leave Eva.

     

     

    Soooo....what do we think the news is going to be tom? It's "fun" news....hmmm....

     I really hope for a Sept release, but I kinda doubt it. Usually there's more time between the announcement of a release and the actual release....no? Unless like Sylvia said, she didn't want to announce until the books went to print! I also wonder if she's done w/ book 5 yet! Ahhh! So excited!

     

    I was thinking about going her Shelter Island book signing this weekend, I'm not sure if I could get someone to watch the kids tho :(  Anyone else going?

    Glad you enjoyed the Georgian series. Have you read Seven Years to Sin. Brilliant! You will see where Sylvia gets her inspiration from for the Crossfire books. I keep going on about Alistair, he is gorgeous, in my head! If you haven't read this one, I promise you, you will not be disappointed. All these books are great.

    Yes I have! That was the first of her historical's I read. Def thought I was reading about Gideon and Eva! Loved Alistair :)

     

    I totally agree about Seven Years to Sin.  Totally see where SD got G and E.  Loved Allistair a lot.  All of the heroes in the Georgian series are great.

     

    Started And the Mountains Echoes.  While the writing is excellent, the subject just was too depressing for me.  There is just too much in life to be depressed about.  Right now, I want light and se xy.  Just me.

    Yes, unfortunately  I know it's going to be depressing. I've read his other two books. Great writing tho

    I want to read to escape the doom and gloom not get sucked into it!

    Have you read On Dublin Street. That's a good read. And Janes Melody.

    If you're reading to escape gloom & doom, you should definitely avoid J. K. Rowling's The Casual Vacancy!  I just finished it last night and it was a kick in the stomach.  Well written for sure, but very very very sad.

    Oh I know! I've read that....gotta admit, it was my first J.K. Rowling book! I cried like a baby at the end...I'm sure you know which scene (beach :( )  Had to re-read it lol....so many characters to keep track of...but really a good read.

    I really looking forward to the new book. Reading chapter 1 and the snippets, it looks promising. I love the idea of the Italian family. After reading Sylvia's Georgian series, which I loved I need a new outlet. Before Captivated comes out!

    Just finished Ask For It...Very good! I loved A Passion for the Game....St. John was yummy. :) 

    I've got And the Mountains Echoed by Hosseini to start. That's a totally diff category than these books lol.

    Ohh I hope it's a lot of goodies! Release date, cover and snippets....or first chapter! Lol....too much to ask??

     

    So, I was thinking....maybe I've mentioned this before, I'm not sure....but do we think that on the flight to Cali, Cary finally gets Eva to tell him what's been going on? They had their lil heart to heart after the fundraiser the night before...so maybe Eva will spill. The fact that she's married, what's been going on w/ Nathan. Or maybe, Cary tells Eva that he figured it out himself. He's not stupid. Maybe he's known for a while that Nathan beat him and was waiting for Eva to tell him, just like he was waiting for her to tell him about Gideon.

     

    IT's a long flight! 5/6 hours...maybe they'll have a full out talk w/ Gideon too b/c I just don't see him letting Eva go to SD w/o him.

     

    Basically....I'd like it if Eva just tells Cary everything! She'd feel so much better...and I don't think he'd be in danger knowing ...

     

    Alrighty, that's my babble for the morning.

     

    Looking fwd to Afterburn/shock. They're at $2.99 and $3.03 on Amazon right now, may pre-order. It doesn't list how many pages it is tho...

    Ladies you are killing my pocketbook. I had to take my grand kids to see Superman and now I know I'm going to buy The Tudors, not to mention all the books I'm buying, even though I promise myself I'm cutting back. If this continues I will need a part-time job to subsidize my addiction.

    Haha....I know! I've just Read A Passion for the Game, A Passion for Him and Don't ... :)

    Do you have Optimum or Showtime? You could probably watch The Tudors on Demand.....I loved that show when it was out..sooo good :)
