  'This explained more'!!! Yess!!! More explanations!  I want details...lol...What a great interview! I'm listening to it now:)

 

I don't know, I think I'll wait for all five to be released. Got the books now on my iPad, but I'd love the set when it's complete

Makes me think they thought the series was done w/ three books....why else would this be available? No?

SD said it would be up to them. But she will do her part and have the book in by the deadline..! She says she's almost done writing book 4 so maybe we won't have to wait that long for it..! I'm assuming well get it after, Afterburn but MAYBE before Aftershock.. And the 5th book at some point next year..!? ( just guessing)

That's why we've got to start some kind of petition on Peguins website or something. B/c if SD is done w/ #4 soon, we've got to make sure it gets released soon! Lol..She's always said that she doesn't control the release dates and if we have a problem, we should complain to Peguin, not her. Sooo...who wants to get it started ? I'm not very good at that stuff.... 

 

Also, I saw on Syliva's Twitter that she said Peguin is the one creating the countdown posts/pictures....They must be getting a lot of backlash and are trying to make readers happy.....

I'm wondering when they will be out. Sylvia is not done with book 4 yet and she is releasing that new series this year (August and December) so I wonder when we can really expect to have 4 let alone 5.

I know! I don't know when either! It would be great if it was before that first book...although...I'm sure that's not gonna happen. Maybe it's best if we don't know when, so we're not freaking out over it again...lol..

And on another subject also, don't you think in the back of his mind that Cary really thinks that Gideon may have had something to do with Nathan's death? Cary has always had an open eye to Gideon such as when he questioned that morning how he became so rich so I think it is hard for Cary to believe that Gideon and Nathan are mutually exclusive what does everyone think?

I def agree w/ you sscrph...I think Cary will find out...or figure it out himself. I really hope Eva does tell him...somehow...maybe not directly. He'd never betray her trust and confess to know if it came down to that.  I think also he's  trying to push Brett on her ...just for her to have fun. He's not a bad guy...and maybe Cary thinks Eva just needs a lil distraction...lol...Fun distraction

I wonder if this Deanna chick is going to try and hook up w/ Cary...doesn't tell him who she is/ what she does etc...he brings her home, she gets an inside look at  Eva's place...questions Cary about her..innocent questions....what if she's there when Gideon is there! Ahh!

Eva's gotta warn Cary about her also...asap! I hope she doesn't forget to tell Gideon.

 

Those 1 1/2 chapters were great..just fuel to the Crossfire- fire!

 

I kinda wanted Eva to be more aggressive w/ Gideon...more hurtful-maybe to him..Beat him a lil for being so cruel to her..lol...I know, I know...he didn't want to be...but she was hurt sooo much by him!

 

I really can't wait for Victor's return! 

 

I hope it's not a cliffhanger ending...book 3...b/c who knows when book 4 & 5 are coming out!

Maybe Christopher Jr is behind it he surely knows about what happened at the concert by now...Deanna may even be sleeping with him...

B/c also, how did she find out where Eva lives? Could her address be listed if she feared Nathan finding her?  I don't like that the reporter was waiting in the lobby for her. I think she def slept w/ Gideon too....She seems like she'll be a bit of trouble...just want's to get back at him...but like someone else said, I'm sure she knew before hand that nothing was going to come of them sleeping together....I guess that was the first snapshot...reporting/paper.. Also, her saying that all the money in the world thing, sounded like Lucas...

Oh boy! The drama! So crazy! I don't want a lot of drama! Lots of happiness please! lol

I think maybe the badge just has to do w/ Graves...Something w/ the case obviously, no? Maybe they're not pursuing the case anymore. It doesn't have to be a 'high profile' case if it isn't leaked anywhere that Gideon is a murder suspect. Maybe it could just quietly go away....lol..

And maybe the next snapshot will be of something happy and fun! Champagne celebration of not having to hide or be afraid of getting locked up!

Here is a funny scenario, the case is dropped. Graves knows who the real killer and since she cant do anything about it, she resigns from the force. She then moves to California and hooks up with Victor and finally gets to go to Disneyland (where she has wanted to go since she was a kid) Everyone gets their HEA.

Sylvia said that the series got picked up by Lionsgate for T.V.

I understand what the time signifies, I was wondering how she was able to get a frame when she had no time to go out shopping.

I think she just had it...w/ her picture already in it in her apartment. Probably just a pic she had framed that she liked from when she and Cary were at the beach. SHe had just gradutated. Maybe?

I hope any discussion with/about Corrine will include Gideon's explaining his new 'RING' to her.  I'm sure she noticed it knowing he doesn't wear any other jewelry.  

 

Also, I'm sure any police questioning confused her and wonder what she asked of Gideon after it was over.

 

So many questions to be answered, beginning to feel like Eva, LOL.  So guess will we start getting answers / insights on Tue with Chapter 1 and then just 4 weeks / 28 days until the whole book is released.   I hope Barnes & Nobles and Amazon's networks are ready to be overloaded on the 4th.     

Ahhh!! Yes! i was thinking the same thing about the ring! She noticed that he ate left-handed so he wouldn't have to let go of Eva's hand during dinner..so i'm sure she realizes that he's wearing jewlery....something he normally doesn't do.

 

I think she def got questioned by the cops...why wouldn't she right? She was there w/ the 'suspect'.

he's already been to her house so I'm sure he probably would've took her back there until Eva suggested someplace closer and that's when he thought of his f***pad as his old standby. He also didn't think of how it would effect Eva when she found all the stuff in there and saw it for what it really was to him.  

Yeah, I'd like to think that Gideon wasn't planning on going to the hotel originally since they were officially bf/gf. Maybe Eva's place like you said or maybe his.

Welcome to the forum!  I haven’t seen you before so I hope you enjoy yourself.

 

In response to your comment, I agree that Monica won’t ever be completely comfortable with Eva or with her independence.  I don’t know how Monica would react if she found out about Gideon’s role in Nathan’s murder.  I guess that will depend on how shallow or fickle Monica is.  On one hand she could see Gideon as a man who so desperately and completely loves her daughter that he would do anything for her.

 

On the other hand, Monica may freak out that her daughter has now hooked up with a murderer.  If Gideon is capable of murdering one person then couldn’t he be capable of murdering her precious Eva?  Only Monica truly knows what is running through that airhead of hers and thus far she isn’t telling us. 

 

KiMa had brought it up in another posting, why would Monica feel comfortable in telling Stanton what happened to Eva and not Victor?  Victor is Eva’s father after all yet, Monica has never seen fit to tell the father of her child what happened?  Why?  I find it odd.  Maybe we will get answers on June 4th. 

 

As far as the Cary thing goes, I don’t know if he is on Team Gideon.  I know that he is on Team Eva for sure.  Thus far, Gideon has caused Eva more pain than good, so I could see why Cary would be reticent about Eva dating Gideon.  His concerns are valid. 

 

I also think that Cary sees that Eva is acting completely differently with Gideon than she has ever acted with any other boyfriend.  I think that Cary may feel just a twinge of guilt because in a way he is the one who encouraged Eva to start dating Gideon.   Maybe if Eva hadn’t taken Cary’s advice then she wouldn’t have been so miserable in her dating relationship with Gideon.  Who knows?  What do you think?  What does everyone think?

If Cary knew what Gideon did for Eva , he'll b all for them being together ! Especially if he found out that it was Nathan who beat him up. I think he'll find out somehow. The walls aren't too thick at the apartment ! Lol

We're definitely going to learn more about Ireland -- we heard that from Sylvia herself in a new interview that hit the Internet yesterday.

 

The interview is on the fan site of actor Henry Cavill. He's the guy that Sylvia wants to play Gideon if (when, we all pray!!!) Lionsgate, that has bought the film rights to Crossfire, makes any TV movie or miniseries.

 

One of the questions she answered in the interview was about Gideon's family -- specifically about what was the problem with his brother, Christopher -- is it jealousy?

 

Here's her answer, which mentioned Ireland by name: "All of the Crossfire characters are complex. As the series progresses, we’ll see deeper into the layers of characters such as Christopher, Monica, Stanton, Elizabeth, Ireland … That’s one of the reasons why the series couldn’t be completed in three — or less — installments. Not only do Eva and Gideon have a lot of ground to cover, but the secondary characters have issues to be dealt with as well."

Most of the interview is about Cavill as an actor (it is his fan site, after all) and about Sylvia as a novelist. But the piece does include some specifics about the unfolding Crossfire saga. Ahh...How awesome would it  be if Henry Cavill played Gideon?! He was great on The Tudors..I'm sure he could do a good American accent since he's now playing Superman. . .Amber Heard would be my Eva too...I think she fits her description perfectly. Dave Franco would be good for CVJ

I like the idea of Magdelana and Arnoldo hooking up! I think she's good people...Hopefully she'll be agood friend to Eva and Gideon. They could double date! I don't think Brett and Corrine combo works though...lol...

 

I just don't understand either how Monica couldn't have noticed anything for  4 years!! I guess she didnt' touch laundry or see her daugther in the mornings??? Eva and Nathan couldn't have been friendly w/ each other. It's just horrible...Monica deserves the guilt she feels. I can't wait to see Victor's reaction to all of this.

 

Oh...I finished Seven Years to Sin...I thought it was great! Emotional read at times, could def see where Gideon and Eva came from.

OK, so why if Gideon sent Eva away in disgust the Friday night of the concert -- then why did he one week later sit down to a family dinner at her apartment? The two lead detectives in the case actually found him there. How could the defense explain that away when Detective Graves and her partner both take the stand to testify Gideon was at Eva's a week after he supposedly dumped her?

 

Here's what a defense lawyer could get out of both detectives under cross-examination, stuff that could convince the jury that Gideon and Eva's relationship was on life support at that point -- and going down hill fast.

 

Where was Gideon when the cops came in?

Across the other side of the room, hardly looking at Eva.

 

What happened when Eva almost fainted?

Gideon just stood there while other people took care of Eva. He didn't even say anything to comfort her, let alone hold her like some man in love would do under the circumstances. Quite frankly, he was a total jerk the whole time.

 

How about when you asked him in front of his supposed girlfriend where was he Thursday?

Well, he didn't want to say, not in front of Eva and her father anyway. He did walk us out though, and once well out of earshot ... (well, whatever happened: either he immediately offered his alibi and then refused to say anything else, or he just promised he'd answer questions the next morning, with his lawyer beside him.

 

So where was he on Thursday, anyway?

At a work-related party.

Your Honor, I'd like to introduce defense exhibit (number such and such) ....

.... and then the jury gets to see that photo of Gideon with his arm around Corrine's waist, his lips almost touching her face, her laughing and obviously having a wonderful night out .... oh and the jury could find out that while Gideon was out partying with Corrine, Eva was sitting home with her roommate who had just gotten out of the hospital.

 

Now really .... can you jurors believe Gideon still wanted Eva after that concert incident? Seriously?

Good point...he was soooo cold   He must've been dying to console her, but couldn't.

 

 

Also, I was thinking, since Eva was a minor when she was abused, couldn't her files not be released? They coulnd't release her name, just Nathan's, no? Wouldn't she still be protected b/c she was a minor when it occured? Or does that not matter anymore b/c she's an adult. I'd feel terrible if her abuse did get leaked...that would just be horrible. The fact that her own father doesn't know...

Maybe Victor and Monica were talking about why she didn't tell him about what Nathan Did to Eva..! They were talking over drinks and somehow Monica ended up in bed with Victor..!

I think it may be a work outfit. Maybe they got it on right after work...too bad it's not Gideon's office couch...maybe they could have their promised office romp ..

 

Could it be possible that almost all of the snippets Sylvia has released are from chapter 1. I hope not. Hopefully they are from different places in the entire book. We'll see.
