  1. I just checked out that thread on SD FB that you had posted before...there's over 1,000 replies! Here are a couple of her responses. I don't think they are spoilery":

Sylvia Day There's definitely not as much angst in Entwined, because Gideon and Eva are no longer fighting against each other, they're fighting against the world together. We're also seeing Eva addressing the last of her outstanding issues, so that she can move on to helping Gideon deal with his. That's why three books weren't enough. I was facing a choice between shortchanging Gideon or leaving threads of Eva hanging and I didn't want to do either. Also, above any of the other Crossfire books, in this book we have some real sexual healing. They tackle some pretty important things in that area, for both of them. BUT... that's just my thoughts and everyone is certainly entitled to theirs! I don't begrudge anyone who's read the book and has an unfavorable opinion of it. We're all entitled to love or hate a book in our way. As for the next two books, Gideon has so much work to do. He's got to work out his family issues, that's huge. If he doesn't stop that hurt from festering, he'll never be whole. He has to find a way to live with Eva that doesn't put her at risk, because his atypical parasomnia isn't going to be cured overnight. He's got to learn to open up more, spend time with Eva in a group setting where he doesn't need her plastered to his side, he needs to adjust to being with a woman who's so social and loves hanging out with friends, and they need to figure out how to reconcile her desire to work independently of Cross Industries. There's so much work they have to do as a couple before they can have a solid happily ever after.

    And:

Sylvia Day My explanation, for what it's worth: We were still wrapping up Eva's lingering issues, which took us through half the book. That left me with half a book (out of three) to address Gideon's and his are going to be a struggle to get through. He's got a long way to go. Just his family situation alone is tough. I couldn't shortchange him by giving him so few pages, which left me with either leaving some of Eva's familial threads dangling or writing beyond the limits of three books. And honestly, even if I'd dedicated the whole book to Gideon, it would've felt rushed trying to fix his family issues, his heavy co-dependence on Eva, his acclimation to being with a woman who's so social when he's so not... They have such a long way to go, that if I'd try to cram it all into one book, I would be hearing complaints about how jipped readers feel that the last book was too packed to do justice to Gideon. I was damned if I did and damned if I didn't. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy Entwined and may not be reading further, but I thank you for reading the first three. And I hope you love the next book you read.

  2. Thanks LN

Way to go Sylvia, I am glad she told us but I feel sorry for her as she sounds very frustrated with the publisher and people asking questions all the time especially the monetary ones.

I wonder if she will look at the ideas we have had on this forum for the title of the new books :)

THat would be nice. SHe's been on here making comments before, so I'm sure she still checks in when she's not too busy! I'd love if she's make some comments to us soon! Big fans over here

    !

  3. Syvlia pasted this to Facebook this morning:

Okay, so there are lots of questions about the next book! That's wonderful and I'm thrilled that so many of you are looking forward to it. I'm so grateful for you all. I feel really blessed.

My original contract with Penguin/Berkley was for three books. That's a pretty typical contract. In my ten years of writing/publishing, I've done contracts for one, two, and three books at a time, but never for more than three. Publishers don't want to invest too much at one time and authors don't want to get tied down too long, just in case things don't work out well and they decide to move on.

Usually the publisher and author will negotiate for new books as soon as the last book in the contract is turned in so that pre-orders can go up and things can keep rolling forward. That didn't happen with Crossfire. That's why you don't see pre-orders up for Books 4 and 5.

The delay was due, in part, to how contentious things got when the release date of Entwined with You was moved to June, something I didn't want and fought strenuously. It was a horrible decision made by the publisher and we all can see the effects of that now. A lot of readers assumed the date move was my decision and it absolutely was not. I hated it and knew it was going to set the wrong tone for readers. (I also have no say in pricing, although I argue all the time for a lower price point for digital - I'm a digital reader, too. I understand.)

I'm now, at this late date, working on finalizing the publication of Books 4 and 5. Does that mean the books are ages away? No. Everyone wants to wrap up the series (including me!) as soon as possible and I expect we'll have a firm date for the publication that I can share within the next two weeks or so. It's not going to be a year away!! I write must faster than that and I've got a head start. :) Again, I don't control release dates, but I know what I *won't* be seeing happening again. I don't want to keep you waiting. I never wanted to keep you waiting.

I know some readers have decided that Crossfire was extended for monetary reasons, but I can say in all honesty, I would make the same amount of money for a new series and likely MORE, so I assure you, money is not motivating how the series is being handled moving forward. My primary goal is keeping your trust, delivering books to you in a timely manner, and making sure Gideon and Eva have the happy ending they deserve.

Thanks for bearing with me while I address the deficits in the handling of the first three novels and thank you so much for all the wonderful emails, posts, and tweets about Entwined with You. I love the book and I'm so happy that so many of you did, too!

Also, if you have title suggestions, I'd love to hear them. :)

    THANK YOU!

Aww...that was nice of her to put this out. She obviously cares about her fans. She's also probably read the reivews on Amazon (not so nice :( )

Bring on book 4!:) I wasn't so happy w/ EWY, not gonna lie :(     Some parts made me really happy, others, just angry...like 'COME ON!" angry...lol...

I'm going thru the book now a second time, making highlights for our discussion Fri. Have we deceided if it'll be a chapter a day review?

  4. I think this is a fun one lol ;)

    Suits them, no? Hehehe

Daft Punk Get Lucky featuring Pharrell Williams from Random Access Memories.
    (Verse 1)
Like the legend of the phoenix
    All ends with beginnings
    What keeps the planet spinning
    The force from the beginning
    (Prechorus)
We've come too far to give up who we are
So let's raise the bar and our cups to the stars
    (Chorus)
She's up all night 'til the sun
I'm up all? night to get some
She's up all night for good fun
I'm up all night to get lucky
We're up all night 'til the sun
We're up all? night to get some
We're up all night for good fun
We're up all night to get lucky
We're up all night to get lucky (x4)
    (Verse 2)
    The present has no living
    Your gift keeps on giving
    What is this I'm feeling?
If you wanna leave I'm ready (ahh)

  5. Omg I just wanna say WOW first if all. I really don't to spoiler things for the ladies so I just want to ask general reactions to certain parts by giving chapter number instead of details.

    Chapter 14?

    Chapter 20?

My son confiscated my iPad, but when I get it back, I'll go thru is see about those chapters. Can't wait to chat! :P

I'll probaby re-read tonight, slowly...let it sink in more. I too hope that book 4 isn't a long ways away

  6. OMg...Got mine at 11:30 last night from iBooks, finally had to stop at 4:30 this morning....only to resume right after I dropped my daughter off to school and put the tv on for my son...lol..I'm so bad ;(

But, now I'm done! I should'velisted my theories in the theory thread, b/c so many of them were right! So happy to have this book, but now...sigh...

***POSSIBLE SPOILER**** (Although, I really dont think so)

....Can they NOT have so much DRAMA?!?! Lol...I want  .....you- know- who to go away!!! Maybe you don't know who..well...I want 1,2,3 people to go way..indefinatly make that 4,5,6.. :mad2: ..but...ugh...ok...we're really waiting til friday to discuss?  It's only fair. Maybe I'll go through the snapshots in the meantime and compare...

  7. I like this much better than the one I suggested.  This would be a happy end to the book but possibilities to carry the story into book 4 if Corine and/or Jr. make a scene at the event that goes viral.

    I'd love that!!!

That would be fantastic if it were true. Fingers crossed (pun intended ). :D

Thanks ladies! Just wishing them happiness :) Of course Eva will look stunning, and Gideon, well, he'll look like Gideon...Yummy yummmy! lol...

  8. I think this might signify the end of them hiding. I mean we need some positive stuff in this book. its going to be hard enough learning about what Gideon went through.

What if it's them going out in public for the first time. Maybe another event/fundraiser....Maybe the final scene is them getting ready to step out of the limo, and Gideon says 'Ready Angel?' Eva replies...'Ready Ace'...and they step out to all the flashes from photogs :) They're out! Together! ....Sigh...just my thougths :)

  9. I love Braden. :)

    :)

Yay for Braden Carmichael!  He's a wee bit sexy, isn't he?

Yes he is! I'd love for another book on Joclyen and Braden :) But I don't want to know about it until the release day...lol.. I see there's a novella on Ellie and Adam coming out.

Yes I'm going to read Dublin Street after I reread EWY my customary 6 times because many of the ladies have recommended!!

It was great...really great. I'm thinking about getting the audiobook for it, but idk if it'll be silly w/ the accents. I'm guessing it's just the one girl reading for all the charaters? the audio sample was really short.

  10. I also want to know if Victor finds out about Eva's abuse that's a big spoiler for me!!

Yes!! Me too!! So freakin' excited for this book!  :):D .,..but also...   ...b.c we;ve got two more books to go! Atleast this isn't a cliffhanger they're saying, right?

So glad for On Dublin Street...it's tying me over until EWY...I've read BTY and RIY so many times already lol
