As soon as I read Brett with the tattoo sleeves I thought of Adam Levine and Maroon 5.  He's older, 34, then Brett but I think he could pull it off.

 

There are definitely other candidates but I think most viewers would be happy with this Brett

 

I thought that too, but Brett is describe as being more muscular than Gideon? Levine is very thin....trying to think of a bulkier tattooed rocker lol

 

 

She also gave Jax some pretty romantic words in Aftershock.

I do believe that from what I have been reading on fb from Sylvia that the publisher has the book.  Has had the book.  She doesn't know when they will release it which is what leads me to believe that it is the same publisher that has all her work.  Except for a couple of things, all of the rereleases have been from much older things she did including when she wrote under a different name and with other people.  So, that is why I have been saying that the publisher is trying to get all the bucks they can while she is so hot.  I don't think Sylvia is any happier than we are with the delay.  Yes, it is money in her pocket but I think she is much more invested in CROSSFIRE now.  

 

God, I hope there is not too much more angst in 4 and 5.  We need resolutions and not more problems.  That being said, the kidnapping idea is a real possibility.

 

Here is another thought.  I am so not trusting of Brett.  Could he have totally known about the se x tape?  Could the whole courting of Eva been to further Six Ninths?  After so many years, he decides he wants her again?  The timing seems very convenient.

I tired looking up Penguin online yest to see how to contact them about this. I don't know, maybe we can do a petition of some sort? Who was going to start that for EWY? lol...I'm sure Sylvia is very frustrated b/c CBY is done, and book 5 probably is too. I mean, there isn't even a cover release yet and it s supposed to be out by the end of the year!  I guess she doesn't want to give anything and make us fans more frantic lol. I'd love a snippet though!

I'm on the fence w/ Brett now too. I'd like to think he doesn't know about the tape, b/c that would be horrible if he did. Hopefully it doesn't get released, and Deanna redeems herself by helping out w/ that. Maybe a Deanna/Brett hook up will happen? Chris Jr. was excited about the Brett/Eva connection. $$$ in his eyes w/ that!

 

I was thinking about the Megumi/Michael/Christopher connection. It crossed my mind also about them being the same person, but Megumi is  a gossip, so she knows who Gideon is, wouldn't she also know about his family? Pictures online etc? So, maybe she know what Christopher looks like? So, maybe they're not the same person? I hope there's nothing seriously wrong w/ her >don't need more drama!

Your right but she only knew that Eva's step brother was dead.  It would take more time for Chris to investigate and get the bracelet.  The bracelet was missing from Nathans wrist when Graves came to Eva's house.  Whoever took the bracelet got it to plant before the body was found and before Ireland knew anything too.

I'm still going w/ Clancy taking the bracelet and planting it w/ the help of his brother. I'd prefer that someone who cares about Gid/Eva took care of that problem rather than having more drama and it being someone who is looking to take Gideon down. Clancy said himself he was tracking Nathan, so, I'm sure he saw Gideon going in and out of the hotel that night. I'd really like this to be the case. The question is how did the pictures get into the Russians home? Maybe Clancy's brother planted it there after his death when they went to investigate it? and also slipped the bracelet on his wrist?

I think Gideon knows that he has more crap to lay on Eva and just needed that marriage to insure her being with him.  He asked her what she needed to know before they got married.  She asked a few questions but I think there are tons more that will come up.  G knows she is gonna have a lot more to deal with.  I think Deanna is just the tip of the iceberg.

 

I love the ring idea.  I think Lizzie made up her mind that G was gonna ask Corinne and let him have the ring.  I think she probably almost dropped dead when she saw it on E.  That makes me happy.

 

Dr. Terry and his nutso wife Anne are gonna cause a lot of grief for G and E.  They are in this together to make the Crosses miserable.  I don't for one minute think that the Lucas marriage is a happy one.  I think both partners blame G for that.  

 

Still not sure where Hugh comes in on this.  I feel there is a connection.  Also wonder---Why is Will a character in this book?  He seems to have no place here.  Could he be Hugh's son or family member?  As of now, he is a throwaway character and Sylvia does not do that.

 

Someone mentioned a while back that maybe Lizzy's ring was auctioned off when her husband got in trouble for the Ponzi scheme(b.c they lost all of their money), and somewhere down the road, Gideon bought it back. I like that Idea too b/c then he has something nice from when his parents were together and they were all happy. Happy memories to give to Eva. And he wouldn't have needed to ask his mother for it...ask her for anything. Ughh...not a fan of that woman.

 

Anne skeeves me out...big time....She's just a whole lot of trouble. I don't understand hers and Lucas's marriage...I don't know how he could still be w/ her. She still cheats on him! Who knows, maybe he does the same and they really don't love each other as much as Gideon thinks they do. Maybe they stay together for show. She hit on Gideon, not the other way around.

 

I think Will is just a co-worker too.

Dr. Travis expertise is with troubled teens so I can't see Gideon having therapy with him...

True but Cary still chats w/ him...through Skype I think?

I really tried to like this book. I've read it twice thus far but I still end up feeling underwhelmed. Maybe I'm missing something. Was there a book before Afterburn?

 

I got the "first novel" impression from this book. There were just too many loose ends and I feel like too much was "smushed" together without actually being detailed or explored properly. I read this after reading the Crossfire series (about 4 times for each book) so maybe I was just expecting more. It feels like this book was put out in a rush.

Hi GoshDarnit...this is part one, part two Aftershock comes out in Nov.  I think Sylvia said it's going to be the same length.

It's funny that the "books thread' got moved. I  guess they really are monitoring this site. Sylvia's def got more members on here now since she's posted that message on FB. I remember that when I first went on her page, she had about 75,000 likes...now it's over 160,000! so many fans!  She's got to be posting some CBY info soon, why else all these quotes from the book? I'm loving though. Makes me want to re-read-again!

OK,  just looked at my facebook and see all the posts from Sylvia with the quotes from early on in Bared to You!  What was that all about?  I love them and all, but ....??  Jeez, I hope this is a prelude to either a real snippet from Captivated By You (like a chapter!) or the release date!  Any ideas?

Ugh...this is so frustrating! It must be more so for Sylvia b/c she gets asked so many times a day about CBY. I feel bad for her. I wonder Penguin (if that's who is releasing it) is doing? Did they not learn from EWY that Sylvia's fans LOVE her books! Lol....She hasn't released anything...just that little 'treat' a couple of weeks ago. Weird, not even a snippet or cover info. She did say it would be released this year, it's already the end of Sept.

It was also weird that we got one random snippet for AFTERSHOCK.

 

Re-read EWY the other day. This one still aggravates me lol. So many obstacles and annoying bumps in their road to happiness. Brett & Corrine better beat it-quickly

Well remember Eva clue ing Gideon in on the fact that women will go to crazy lengths to get him - Yes he is crazy rich but he's also extraordinarily handsome which makes him the total package. That being said I can see Deanna being more than put out by the fact that Gideon treated her like a ###### - there's no way she's going to forget about how that felt no matter how many exclusives she gets.The question is how far she is prepared to take her revenge and if she will actually be satisfied with the exclusives...

But, I mean, come on. Yes, Gideon wasn't nice to her, rude really. What did she think was going to happen when you go home...not even his home..his hotel room, w/ someone you JUST MET. ....He says he didn't think he even spoke a dozen words to her. Maybe she's not used to being turned down/away. So it really bruised her ego. I just hope she gets over it and doesn't bother them anymore. She's at least getting something out of it now w/ the wedding exclusives.  It's not like Gideon told anyone about them, or that they work together and have to see each other. Just saying lol.

I was originally thinking The Plaza for their reception at night....it's been renovated in the last few years. But maybe Gideon has a place. I don't think Eva wants Elizabeth involved in planning her wedding.  To me, until and unless that woman makes things right with Gideon, Eva will be very cool.  I don't blame her.  What right does Lizzy have to be involved in the most important night in Gideon's life when she cannot acknowledge her role in his problems?  Sorry, she's lucky to be invited.

 

Let Monica have her fun.  I really don't think Eva cares.  Monica is not a bad person.  We don't know much about her but I kind of feel she didn't have it as good as it looks.  I hope she enjoys this wedding stuff.  She may be over protective and hovering but I get it.  I hope Sylvia lets us know more about Monica.  There is a huge story there.

 

I agree completely GLH! This will be done w/ Monica, Cary , Eva and Gideon for sure. You're right that Eva won't want anything to do w/ Elizabeth until she comes clean and starts believing Gideon. Seriously, I hope she does b/c then Gideon and Eva could be really happy once that happens,no?

I think I have posted on this topic before... There is no way that "MommyCa" is going to tolerate LIZZY disrespecting her daughter or Gideva's love for one another. Monica protects her daughter to distraction so Lizzie just better watch out!! :)

I def think that Cary will be in the bridal party, but maybe as a groomsman, w/ Arnoldo and probably CV JR ( how could he not include him, what a scandal that would be!). And Eva will have Ireland (yay! love her!) Megumi and Marks sis in law...sorry..forgetting her name now. But, usually you have REALLY close friend/family in a bridal party....and Idk if megumi and the sis in law are really good friends....but they would fill the space.

 

I'd say the wedding could be held in two months time. You gotta give at least a month notice for people to receive the invite and respond. Then the rest of the time the gown will be custom made and everything put together for the venue. It could totally be done...especially if you have money.

 

Ugh...the wait is killing me. I want to know what's up w/ Deanna (is she honestly ok and nice? is she hanging out w/ the Rossi bro now? lol), Corrine and Anne to go away. Magdalena could become a good friend of Eva's maybe. Gideon liked her enough to continue being friends w/ her. I wonder if he ever knew how she really felt about him though.

Hey Ladies, I started an Afterburn Snippet thread on the Afterburn/Afterschock thread.  Snippet one looks great!!  Now, what about CBY? Maybe a Dec release then? Since she's posting snippets for Aftershock that's getting released in Nov...Idk how many snippets she plans on releasing tho b/c I saw that she posted the length of book two is the same as book one.

 

 

As far as FSoG casting....I don't really think their Ana is that pretty....sorry...but Charlie is a cutie! I'm sure he'll clean up nice a CG...Although he seems a bit bulkier than I pictured Christian to be....I feel bad for all the backlash they're getting
