These pictures are precious. Thanks for the visual. Dogs are wonderful creations who do give unconditional love. It was one of my favorite parts. Another of my favorite parts, in this book and the others. Angus!!! I don't think I need to say anything else.
Totally agree with you about Angus in this book...He is human after all with a nice sense of humour and we finally got a glimpse of his relationship with Gideon as it is much more personal than professional. Just loved all the Angus moments in the book.

Dear sscrph,Â
oh, I am glad I am not alone with my point of view right now! I was hesitant to post my points ... I don´t want to cause any anger here ... but it is like this .. authentic me - but only in this moment.Â
Â
I´m lacking sleep also but due to other heavy thing which are talking place right now  in my life! Yeah, I am currently  just rereading the epilogque and  ... and then I have to go to restart .. if I find time for it ...  otherwise I won´t find my peace, I suppose ..Â
Â
til then .. sending a smile to you, hope you have soon time to get enough sleep!
sme
On the other hand there were some very lovely moments in the book the one being the lunch at Tableau One with the Crossroads Foundation board members. Everything from Eva's new hairstyle and Gideon's reaction to it were perfectly written . It was  classic Sylvia...

Finished WOW, what will I do now! I won't give any spoilers.
Go onto the spoiler thread with your thoughts...

sme I agree with many of your points but especially about Monica's backstory being overly complex...I had to re read this part several times to grasp it but maybe this was due to lack of sleep lol. I am on a second read now so I will let you know...

I feel a bit unsatisfied with this last book. I needed more content for supporting characters. Overall it was good, re-reading now.
I have to say that " a bit unsatisfied" perfectly covers it. There doesn't seem to be as much attention to details as in the other books even CBY which some readers did not like. I am on the second read now and hope it grows on me.
The situation with Monica is also
very upsetting to me. While she was vindicated as a mother Gideon was the one left feeling guilty because that bullet was meant for him. Â How much can one man bear?

I am also very disappointed that they did not return to the Outer Banks house...

Yes, finished and begun a slower re-read taking my time. I'm in the position of having no distractions at home so could settle down and read the book once I got home with it last night. I wouldn't normally read a book of this length so quickly as I'm pretty sure I've missed some points hence the re-read.Â
Just don't read any reviews on Amazon.com, amazon.co.uk is safe at the moment. Pity that they don't have 'spoiler' markers like Good Reads has. The reviewer has used the alerts on Good Reads but not on Amazon.Â
Sadly some reviewers are still going on about how the story could have all been done in 3 books - wish they would just get over that, it's been over two years since it was announced here would be five books which is enough time to learn to live with it. Some of them do seem to have a kind of vendetta against the author with their 'I'm not buying any more of her books' attitude - I think the phrase is 'cutting off your nose to spite your face'. Why miss out on excellent writing and storylines just because a series became 5 books and it took time to put words to paper?
Actually it should have gone to a sixth book because I felt that the story was rushed and overlooked tying up some important loose ends...

Im surprised that Brett Kline did not make one last attempt to land Eva...Apparently he is smarter than Corinne lol .

My favorite part of the book is "Lucky..."
Getting ready to start the second read over the next 2 days...
-
I'm pretty sure the forum all agrees that Anne has been behind the scenes all this time manipulating Corinne in her desperate attempts to win back Gideon but at this point now that he has divulged they are married her efforts are just plain pathetic. As Deanna told Eva once..." The Iceman thawed a bit for you" and boy did he ever !
Just cant wait to read it...5.5 hours to go????
-
Looking forward to the Forum's comments...we have been hanging out on this site for a long time now.

Thanks for those little tidbits D500...8 hours more to wait.
I can hang tough!!

The chapter a day discussion usually starts a few days after the release and goes on the spoiler thread...

I posted before that Corinne was just trying to imitate Eva and dress sexier to get Gideon's attention such as the red strapless dress and stillettos. Just as Magdalene was trying to imitate Corinne in BTY.

sme  did the thing that Eva propose happen at the Dr. Peterson appointment? Sorry but your post has me intrigued.
-
Cmas welcome and glad you spoke up!! Looking forward to reading your new posts  about OWY.

Hi Sylvia thank you so much for that completed snippet ! I can wait a little longer for my download and I cant wait to see what you have in store for Gideva. Â

But I think she will cause a little more trouble until Eva puts her in her place. Anne, Deanna and Landon are still very dangerous. Someone mentioned that Dr. Peterson might be related to Anne I hope that is not the case I get the impression that he is "ON" Gideon and Eva's side and wants them to be together.
Im looking forward to Eva putting Corinne in her place...she certainly deseves it. After all she is a MARRIED woman and was going after Eva's man. Very low class!! Go Eva.

As I said earlier we've been waiting a long time and it would be great to get the gift if chapter 2 today.

I'd love for Sylvia to give us Chapter 2 today as a treat... Â

Hi Sharon Welcome Back!! Only 3 days to go so we will have all our answers soon!
-
I'm sure Monica has some skeletons in her closet but I really hope they don't come out...she really has been through alot with Eva and her trauma. Hopefully she can just cruise along with Stanton because having her secrets "bared" to the world would destroy her. Maybe that will be how she finally tells Eva about her past...in her fear of exposure she will have to come clean for Eva.  Gideon may already know her secrets and just has not told Eva because he doesnt think its his story to tell.
-
The radio interview had me thinking definitely a happy ending so I'm not worried...Just can't wait to read it.

I have to say IÂ agree with jmhope... I do not believe that Anne was Elizabeth's therapist and of course next week at this time we should have all the answers we have been seeking

Hi Gideonfan2014 WELCOME!! I totally agree with you about detective Shelley Graves ...I had stated many posts ago that I thought she was probably a victim of some type of abuse and in fact probably did benefit from a Crossroads Foundation Program. I came to this conclusion when Eva grabbed her arm in EWY  and Graves  just looked down at Eva's arm and she removed it. I too think she is no longer a threat. On the next topic I agree with Eva's strategy to a point.  There is no problem giving the press some loving photos because I agree that this would only make Corinne look like a sore loser and her book a pathetic attempt at payback . They are already married GAME OVER!! My main concern is the threat of Anne Lucas. I think Gideon underestimates her and is unaware that she is now psychotic and jealous. She wants to make him pay no matter what it does to her career. She is obviously in a loveless marriage and has no children... Her only thoughts are of herself and how good that revenge will feel. Just can't wait for the book.

LUV LUV LUVED Â when Gideon showed up at Eva's farewell lunch for WF&L with a single red rose and Eva knew she was making the right decision because there was no contest between 3 weeks vs forever...
Very romantic, classic Sylvia.
