Totally agree Lou but did you ever think that maybe Anne has something on him and they stay together purely out of disgust for each other lol. Gideons take on it was that Dr Lucas was so in love  with Anne that he could't let her go but we also know that Gideon is very naive when it comes to relationships so he may be very wrong about all that.

It would be great to get Monica's backstory  in OWY and that is certainly a possibility when you consider OWY  is 500 pages...

Can't wait!! 

I loved when Monica told Eva that she was much more interesting than herself...Seems that Monica is aware of her own flaws and has her own insecurities

That was a great end to chapter one but it leaves me uneasy for a few reasons... I think what Monica fears is that the story of Eva's abuse will somehow become public???? Of course she doesn't voice this to Eva but I still remember Gideon's ominous words in BTY about destroying the journalist or publication that would ever publish such a story. That being said this could also tie into the previous snippet about him asking if she was staying home. I think someone already mentioned that maybe Gideon didnt want Eva to see something. So here we are almost one week to go hopefully these last few days go quick. I expect Sylvia will also give us chapter 2 right before the release. Happy Easter everyone.

 

I think I have posted this before but I think Anne is the biggest threat to Eva. I really think she wants to do physical harm to Eva because I think she has really lost it . I'm sure she was talking about herself when she stated that some women have developed severe depression due to Gideon. I think Cary is definitely the one that let her into the apartment building that day and if this is the case , the fact that she is penetrating Eva's inner circle can only spell big trouble. Won't be long till we know all the answers!!

I can't tell you how many times I have read and listened to the books in the series and the more I think about it the more I do not think that excerpt is Sylvia's writing...

Hi Shan 12 I had  exactly the same thoughts as you ...To me it does not seem like Sylvia 's style of writing but she tweeted about the excerpt  on twitter so one can only assume it is legit...What does everyone else think about this????

 

I definitely think we will get an Easter snippet, we have always gotten something from the Easter Bunny lol

In the snippet I think Gideon is definitely being secretive about something...Eva usually picks up on it but  because she is so tired  she's not feeling it.

I think they may have just returned from the Outer Banks weekend  which would be the first weekend after they  reunited that Gideon was talking to Arash about.  The snippet is interesting in that Sylvia must have changed  her mind about  Eva staying out of Gideon's bed until the wedding because clearly there has been some action!! Eva can't resist those blue eyes...although it must be something very important to take Gideon away from Eva so early in the morning so Im thinking a meeting about Brett Kline or Ann Lucas or one of the many pressing problems...

The days are passing quickly...It wont be long till we have the answers to all our questions????????

Hi MS  MAC... After seeing Henry Cavill present an award at the Oscars I don't even think he is right for the part anymore. You are absolutely wright about the actor needing to be "buff" and the right height but ALSO with a commanding presence...But as we saw from Fifty Shades whoever they choose will definitely not please everyone!! 

What a perfect excerpt... just increasing our appetite for more more more Gideva!!!  What a journey Sylvia has taken all of  us on.

The conclusion of the story will be a relief to all the readers  but bittersweet. I'm sure we have mixed emotions about seeing their story end. Happy Birthday Sylvia ... Thanks so much for the excerpt...and thanks so much for the story of Gideva!!

Maybe Eva is transitioning from the " New Eva" hairstyle to an "Eva Cross" hairstyle... As Eva says it sounds "kickass" so maybe this means she will be taking control and taking names...I sure hope so because it will be a great read. I was also hoping that the business lunch may be an appointment with Gideon's suitmaker which Eva has always fantasized about...won't be long now till we know the real story.

When I first read the teaser I thought maybe it was Eva's birthday  they were referring to and not the wedding...

In the last chapter of CBY Gideon tells Eva don't leave me and Eva replies I don't know how to leave you.  This is so true... Both of them over the few short months they have been together have formed an unbreakable bond...with their shared histories and of course the Nathan secret; there is no doubt their marriage is forever and as Gideon states they will grow old together and not live another day without each other... They have certainly earned it so I think there is no doubt about a happy ending.  As for Christopher I think that Sylvia likes to rehabilitate her characters so to speak so I think we may get Christopher's backstory and learn what drives him and perhaps like him a little more lol.  As for Corinne even though she is a mighty jealous ex lol she is not evil so I think Eva and Monica will take care of her and the readers will like that conclusion.  My only problem in the next book is Anne Lucas.  She is diabolical and evil and I could see her possibly trying to push Eva out in the throngs of Manhattan traffic so I hope Eva watches her back because of course Gideon, Raul and Angus will be too. I dont think there is any way to rehabilitate Anne Lucas though; she is bad to the bone...hopefully she will be put away in a psychiatric hospital which would be quite  poetic justice for her.  Btw welcome to all new members and old...hope we can fire up this blog again!!

Yes the name "CORINNE GIROUX" was definitely a successful distraction technique...brilliant on Eva's part lol... Monica latched onto that immediately and the wheels started turning!! I cant wait to read about MONICA AND EVA'S lunch.  I hope they have a very private booth in a quiet restaurant because Im sure Monica already has a plan for how to deal with clueless exes!!
