Ok, so I have seen Sylvia quoted as having said on New Years Day that she expected to have something for us in two weeks. A month has now gone by and no Crossfire C B Y announcement. At this point, she must be SO frustrated with her publisher. Wish we knew something. I miss Gideon and Eva and want to know what is happening in their story!

I am hoping that by the time the February chat is here there will be some news, but I have honestly talked to so many people that are losing interest in the series that it is disheartening. I can't help but wonder what the hold up with the next book is. Perhaps we will be looking at an early April release *fingers crossed*

Aren't books typically released on Tuesdays, same as DVDs?

They are carolc here in the states. In Europe books are released on Thursdays.

So the upside to this waiting game is the anticipation for whats going to be in the book. I keep thinking of all the things I am looking forward to in the new book. Like more interaction between G&E as a married couple, Monica planning the wedding, Eva telling Brett to move on, and lastly whose POV it will be in (!!!!). It would literally make me LOL if we opened CBY and it was from Gideon's POV. 

I did get the impression that Gideon is speaking a ton more to Sylvia since she had always maintained that she couldn't connect with him, and now with the NYD snippet and then her comments in the interview it certainly wouldn't surprise me to see some of his POV in there.

As soon as CBY comes out we will be frantic for the last book.  Since we know CBY is imminent (hoping, praying), we will be wanting the end of the story soon after. 

 

So, on to the next questions everyone will be asking as soon as we have a release date for CBY. 

 

What is the next/last book's title or temporary title? 

Is there Cover Art yet or in the works? 

How long after CBY comes out will the last one be released? (Same year? 2014)

Is there a novella after the last b

I believe the last title was tossed about when Sylvia was trying to think of the title for CBY. I do believe there were tons of people that were leaning towards a title with 'Forever' in the mix. As for your other questions we can hope Sylvia will see and respond. I would be surprised if there was a novella in the works, but you never know.

The release date of AFTERSHOCK has no bearing on the release of CBY. They're with two different publishers.

Hi we're did you read CBY is coming out in May

At one point Amazon UK had the date up as May. Sylvia had said at the time that a date hadn't been decided on so that was false.

Dear all, I have not been writing on this forum for long.

Now I read CBY is maybe coming out in May. True or not I only wish to say that if I was the publisher I would probably delay and delay because in the meantime I would sell so many other books from Sylvia to all the desperate CRossfire fans that are waiting. Truth is I would have never read a few other books from SYlvia if I wasn't waiting and waiting and desperate for more EVa and GIdeon.

As much as I enjoyed EVa and GIdeon now I am really fed up with the waiting and I feel fooled. After all this waiting the expectations will be so high that no matter how good are the last(?) two books, they will never fulfill all this waiting time.

I'm not sure how many books Sylvia has with Penguin but certainly not all of them so I don't think the reason for the delay is that they are trying to push her other books.

I do admit that I am getting a bit frustrated with this wait myself. I had high hopes that Gideon would be to us by the end of the year, but that is looking like a long shot at this point. I know it's not Sylvia's fault that there are these delays, but the masses will be annoyed and I would be surprised if it didn't have an effect on sales.

I did not realize this was the case. It's just, I love these books so much and really respect the author (Sylvia Day). I just felt Sylvia was being pressured, as we love this series so much.

to the forum.  We all feel for Sylvia because she is of course inundated with questions about when Captivated will be coming out, and unfortunately Penguin probably jerks her around as much as they jerk us readers around. 

 

It will be worth the wait though.

Welcome. I am sure that the treats mean we are getting somewhat closer to a release date announcement. I am also sure we will have longer snippets when we do get closer.

Here's the first one from a few weeks ago.

 

Charlie wasn't my choice for CG, but I think he can act and I was getting used to the idea of him as Christian. I'm not sure I buy the excuse the studio is trying to sell. I will admit to being anxious for the FSoG movie, but I am even more anxious to have Gideon on my TV once a week!
