  1. I don't know that he would have to get rid of it. The room is something he did for Eva when they were together. What I think would be nice is if Corrine came to Gideon's apartment for a decision about his intentions and Eva let her in (maybe Gideon has an early meeting) and Eva was in that just F$#@d state. What goes around comes around but Corrine would know Eva wasn't staging a performance.

I'm not sure I like that idea too much. Right now Gideons place is special for both of them as she is the ONLY female allowed there with the exception of his mom and his staff (housekeeper). I don't like the thought of ruining that by inviting Corrine or Magdeline or any other female from the past.

  2. One of the snippets Sylvia posted is Gideon's POV. It didn't give us any indication that he felt he was being cruel to her. It did give the impression that he was worried that Eva didn't want to have anything to do with him in the future. I don't know if he realizes how cruel he has been with Eva. I don't know if he understands that his actions are truly devastating Eva.

    I think Gideon understands.

Something to keep in mind... Many of the early snippets from Sylvia began with:, " Disclaimer: May be edited or deleted prior to publication."

The snippet from Gideon POV is one that started this way.

  3. “Good evening, Miss Tramell.†The doorman accompanied the greeting with a tap of his fingers to the brim of his hat and waited patiently while I swiped my debit card. When I’d finished paying, I accepted his help out of the back of the cab and felt his gaze slide discreetly over my tearstained face.

Smiling as if everything were okay in my world, I rushed into the lobby and headed straight for the elevator, with a brief wave at the front desk staff.

    “Eva!â€

Turning my head, I discovered a svelte brunette in a stylish skirt-and-blouse ensemble rising to her feet in the lobby seating area. Her dark hair fell in thick waves around her shoulders, and her smile graced full lips that were a glossy pink. I frowned, not recognizing her.

“Yes?†I replied, suddenly wary. There was an avid gleam in her dark eyes that got my back up. Despite how battered I felt and probably looked, I squared my shoulders and faced her directly.

“Deanna Johnson,†she said, thrusting out a well-manicured hand. “Freelance reporter

I have a question, I was wondering why the doorman didn't warn Eva that the reporter was waiting for her.. if you remember the security was tight on the building, the reason she was living there. Why would the desk staff allow her to loiter in the lobby not knowing when Eva would be home.

I think if it was the daytime doorman, Paul, he may have said something because they had a more personable rapport. But then again where would Eva enter the building if she didn't want to encounter the person waiting? If she (Deanna) left the exchange would have happened outside the building.

I was thinking she wasn't on the automatic turn away list so perhaps she would be allowed to wait for a limited amount of time for Cary or Eva to arrive.

  4. A good lawyer could turn around Eva's admission that she dumped Gideon on Saturday. It isn't unusual for someone to be involved with two people at the same time. The Lawyer could say Eva finally had enough and said this is it. I can't wait any longer for you to make a decision. ...Or something like that.

The whole conversation is void. Eva said she wanted her attorney present. Det. Graves talked anyhow. When she asked a question and it was answered the entire everything became voided.

  5. LN I agree that Gideon is kicking Corrine out of his life for what she has done, but you say... "Now he's got her believing she's his girlfriend. They may not be sleeping together yet, but they are a couple once again." Do you believe that Gideon has been kissing Corrine? I know it probably seems silly on my part, but after the whole kissing Brett incident and Gideon telling Eva in NC what her kisses mean to him, is Gideon actually kissing Corrine? Has he let this "dating" thing get that far? I am trying to work this all out in my mind.

He may have given a kiss on the forehead or cheek. This way he could appear "intimate" for the sake of the public audience, without having to actually be intimate with Corrine.

  6. How are we figuring Victor is going to figure into all this. He was just visiting Eva and now he'll be back again. Has he gone home and immediately started to research Nathan?

He's no dummy, I bet he already started the search before he left. Like when he was researching Gideon.

My guess is he started the search in NY, didn't discover much if anything. He picks up and continues digging when he returns to Cali. He probably will end up discovering some ir all of the story. But, I think he may wait for Eva to tell him or coax her to feel comfortable enough to tell him.

  7. Peaches ........... I agree with you comment on the reporter and there was a snippet about ' there were other women before he knew she existed' . So I think that Eva's 'spidey sense' will be accurate about her being an ex.

Hope everyone agrees that our teaser chapters were FAB :) Thanks to Sylvia for the suprise bonus, she loves us, she really loves us LOL

    Hi There,

I agree! I love how Sylvia gifted all of us with the sneek peek of chapter 1 and a bonus with part of chapter 2!

  8. Too, among the many people 100% convinced there is no Eva and Gideon is Brett along with Cary.

I think Cary definitely is on Team Brett right now. As far as Cary knows, Brett's only past sin was a history of being promiscious (something Cary's never gonna hold against Brett, given that Cary likes to screw around himself.) The worse Brett did was view Eva as just another groupie at a time when Eva wanted to be Brett's girlfriend. Well now, Brett's been making it crystal clear he wants a full-fledged relationship with Eva.

Yes, Cary knows Eva is still in love with Gideon. And Cary did see some of the happiness Eva had when things went well with Gideon. But Cary's also seen Gideon suffers from sexually violent nightmares that have proven to be a threat to Eva's physical and mental safety. He's seen how much Eva suffered when things were going badly between her and Gideon. And he watched from the sidelines as Gideon coldly broke Eva's heart.

Eva's still working through her post-break-up issues with Gideon. She's still processing what happened, and Cary, ever a sympathetic ear and sounding board for his BFF, is listening to Eva without judging her. But inside, I'm convinced Cary truly hopes things really are finished this time between Eva and Gideon. And waiting in the wings is Mr. Rebound, someone who could once again rock Eva's world sexually and who would treat Eva with respect. I think Cary will try to do what he can to help Brett get a shot at what Cary believes Gideon threw away with both hands.

I think Cary is just on "team Eva". When Eva & Cary were talking on Tuesday morning while he was in the hospital, Cary told Eva he never said anything to Eva about Bretts band making it big.

Cary told her there he didn't think she would handle hearing & knowing about the hit single "Golden" well. Cary goes on to tell Eva some women can date rockstars and some can't and she is in the group who can't. Cary knows Brett wouldn't be a good partner for Eva.

I think he (Cary) is trying to lighten the mood and teases Eva about getting back together with Brett. But I don't think he is serious. Get knows it would be bad for Eva

  9. That's a good thought sscrph!

B/c also, how did she find out where Eva lives? Could her address be listed if she feared Nathan finding her? I don't like that the reporter was waiting in the lobby for her. I think she def slept w/ Gideon too....She seems like she'll be a bit of trouble...just want's to get back at him...but like someone else said, I'm sure she knew before hand that nothing was going to come of them sleeping together....I guess that was the first snapshot...reporting/paper.. Also, her saying that all the money in the world thing, sounded like Lucas...

    Hmmm...

Oh boy! The drama! So crazy! I don't want a lot of drama! Lots of happiness please! lol :)

Brett told Eva he found her on Google when he came to meet her for lunch at work. The reporter could do the same thing, then just follow her home from work to find out where she lives.

  10. So what does everyone think? Obviously this reporter is going to be trouble.

I think the reporter may be trouble. I kinda wonder if she ties into a snippets when they were discussing past relationships... I'll have to go back and re-read the snippets to see which one I was thinking of. I also wonder if she is a "friend" of Corrine.... Trying to see what it is about Eva that made Gideon open up, something no one else has been able to do.

  11. When I first saw the picture for chapter 14 with the detective shield I though "oh cra* their back!" Followed by, "wait its only been maybe a week so they never really went away, and maybe they will be going away now!"

Then I see chapter 15 and realize Gideon is gripping the sheets hoping it is not another nightmare. I'm hopeful its Eva "topping" him instead :-D

  12. I also tried to get my husband to read these books and he said no way. So I tried reading him some of the naughty parts and he blushed! He said he didn't know what was weirder that I was reading this or that his sister told me to read them lol! But he is enjoying me reading let me tell you ;)

My husband ran out of his usual reading material so he read these 2 books. He was a little jaded after FSOG... So he was not as in love with the series as we are... But that is ok.

  13. OK, doing my homework, which is to pick out a favorite quote or paragraph from the Chapter of the Day (which today is #14 in Bared to You.)

Cary, consoling Eva after Gideon dumped her, still held out hope things would work out. "I want there to be happily-ever-afters for the f*****-up crowd. Show me the way, Eva honey. Make me believe." (page 212)

That's one of my favorite quotes too.

  14. One thing that has always gnawed at me. Gideon sent Eva a note card or as Eva read it, a dear Jane card, stating, "thank you, Eva. For everything" yours , G. With her apartment keys. A brush off as I read it, so did she.

In the next chapter, when they were talking, he kept saying they never broke up for those four days. Why did he phrase that card so badly?

He's a guy... They don't always know how to phrase written things. I know many guys who sign their name with their first initial only in their cards to their significant other (my guy included lol)

  15. SScrph

I have a feeling that Monica was emotionally abused. Her parents disowned her and I think she hoped her baby would give her the love she didn't have from her parents. Not many loving parents would turn out there own child especially if her only crime was getting pregnant.

I think it is hard for us "regular folks" to understand the life of the uber rich. Again I'm not making excuses for her. She screwed up big time. I think she would be easier to like if she turned to Victor when she found out Eva was raped.

I do think Monica is behind Eva's fear that her dad will find out their little secret. Maybe she picked up on something said. It will be interesting how this plays out. I don't hate Monica at this point but I don't like her very much either. What gives me hope is that Eva loves her mom so I'm hoping there is some way to justify her behavior.

    I agree!
