I actually emailed E.L James to let her know how I like the series and told her the same thing of wanting the series re-written from CG's POV. She responded that she is tinkering around with that but not to get my hopes up as it might not be published. So fingers crossed it might. To be honest I would absolutely LOVE if SD re-wrote the Crossfire series from Gideon's POV after the original series is complete.

It was not lipstick it was blood. When we re-read the scene the book said it looks like lipstick. Nathan had been up to see Gideon. Things didn't go the way Nathan planned them....

When I read FSoG I couldn't get over how juvenile it sounded. The book read like it was written by a 17 year old. I personally don't know how women could get off to the BDSM parts, I found myself skipping a lot of the sex scenes because it was redundant and I was more interested in their relationship than the sex. I must admit I did have CG withdrawals because I read all three books back to back and I was so into the story because just like Jenn it was like fantasy... Then I met GC and must say I'm much happier now lol

 

My husband and I both read FSoG and The Crossfire series. We both felt the reading level was a little lower than we expected, especially with there being a heavy BDSM theme in the story. We also found ourselves skipping over some of the sex scenes because they were fairly redundant. However I too went through CG withdrawls when I was finished with the books. I was hoping for more from CG POV and maybe a mirrored series of the 3 books written from his POV.

 

I LOVE the Crossfire series, the characters have more depth to them and seem more like a real person. I find myself relating to a couple of them at times. Then at other times I am wanting to have a cup of coffee and conversation with them to find out what they are thinking and maybe point them in a better direction :-)  And I am totally going through Eva and Gideon withdrawls waiting for the next book to come out!!!

I don't think Megumi's room mate is Deanna... If it was then Megumi and Eva wouldn't be able to be friends any more, AND I don't see them working together much longer....I am hoping Megumi is just a girl who loves gossip (and hot men) and that is really the only reason she was asking about Gideon and the relationship Eva has with him.

 

I am hoping she is not dating Christopher JR. That wouldn't be good at all!

 

But right now I just realized, when Eva and JR went to lunch near the end of Reflected he asked her out (again) to dinner. She said maybe and she'd be in contact.... So it makes me think JR isn't involved seriously with somebody. or he is a bigger creep than realized.

 

Hopefully Megumi's boyfriend is somebody Cross did/does business with. Then Maybe Megumi and Eva can be better friends and maybe see each other at some social functions.... It would give Eva somebody to sit with other than Magdeline

I think Brett will be a bigger issue than Corrine. However with Gideon having controlling interest in the record label for Bretts band I don't think he (Brett) will be a big problem.

I don't think Gideon contacted Giroux. But maybe Giroux contacted Gideon and asked point blank if he(Gideon) and Corinne were back together. Gideon saw this as oppurtunity to get rid of Corinne and told Giroux the truth that he(Gideon) wasn't with Corinne and had no plans of getting back with her because he doesn't love her. Probably Gideon told Giroux that if he came to NYC it would show Corinne that Giroux isn't "indifferent" towards her like she thinks. So hopefully Corinne gets back with Giroux and moves back to France so Eva and Gideon don't have to worry about her unrequited love any longer.

I don't think there was abyss contact between Gideon And Giroux. Everything at this point it traceable for the police. Gideon has been working hard at his alibi and into convincing everyone he & Corrine are together.... Any contact to Giroux from Gideon text, phone call, email, etc. could compromise that. The only way they could talk would be in person, and that is difficult with them in different countries.

I haven't been able to listen to the interview yet.... Did she talk about the dialogue at the garden party between Gideon And Elizabeth (about Cary)? And what it meant.

French passport.... Hopefully Corrine and her husband are returning to France.... Together. Hopefully they both stay there too :-)

Alternate explanation, though - when we suddenly see something that terrifies us, often we'll blurt something out - "oh my God" being probably the most common. But some of us will react with "stunned silence" instead, too shocked for words. And regardless of whether or not we say something, all of us usually will make some sort of gesture when suddenly frightened too. Throwing up a hand is common - some of us touch our mouths. Others, especially if we feel like we can't breathe, will raise a hand to our throat or our chest, like we were literally choking.

I think when Monica threw her hand up to her throat, it was because she almost felt she couldn't breathe, so scared was she at that very moment.

Corrine stroking her throat, when talking to Eva about Gideon, was a little weird - enough of a nervous gesture that Eva thought it was strange. What jumped to Eva's mind was Corrine was imaging wearing something on her throat, something no longer there but probably something she used to wear back when she was Gideon's girlfriend/fiancee. Eva's pretty intuitive at times, especially to body language. I think Eva's guess was right that the nervous gesture involved something that used to be around Corrine's throat. We know Gideon is a sexual dominant. A collar is something some doms would get a submissive to wear.

This is what I was thinking too.

I think the snapshot is the bleachers at Krav Maga class. This could mean Eva gives someone a beat down.

Gideon did mention wanting or planning to watch her during Krav Maga .... Maybe he comes to watch?

I re-read the snippets last night and the snapshots and I wondered if with Gideon asking Eva to come home to him was his way of saying they had moved in together, I know that sounds really quick but why else would you refer to your home as their home.

I think he meant come home to him. Not necessarily referring to the house or physical location. But instead meaning come to be with him. (home in his arms)

Gideon kind of lost me in his need for control. In limo he tell Eva he wants to do it again so obviously it wasn't too bad. Then he tells Eva that she can top him again issue wants to. So what's his problem? He wants control but doesn't mind when Eva is in control. Why foes he say that's the problem when he give Eva the ring?

I think Gideon needs control just as much as Eva does and for similar reasons. To me Gideon also has never trusted a partner in the way he trusts Eva. He was trying to find a balance of control that would work for both of them.

I didn't realize what date it was at first so I just signed up today for it too. I know LN is also signed up so this way if I miss anything taking notes wise, I know LN will be also be taking notes. I'm trying to think of questions to ask.

I am (still) curious about a scene from BTY..... What did Gideon mean with his comment to his mom during the garden party about Cary. When Elizabeth says no not Cary too, Gideon replied with (I don't have the exact quote) I thought you'd like him, just remember he is Eva's friend which makes him mine too. What did all of that mean?

I wanted bring something up and put out some feelers...One of the things that I have been most excited about with the snapshots is to see how they relate to the chapters. The first snapshot was of the front page of a newspaper with the word "Press" (I believe) written up top and a pen. We all speculated as to what it could mean and after reading the first chapter we find out that the snapshot is in reference of a reporter than came to Eva's apartment building. It has been mentioned before that their snapshots are canned photos, meaning they were not taken for the purpose of this book, but instead are just general pictures that were found that symbolize a part of each chapter. The fun for me will be after I have slowly (I like to make it last) read this book to go back to all of the snapshots and see how they fit in.

I think some of us are reading a little too much into each of snapshots, I admit I have been too, however after seeing the first snapshot and how it represented nothing like most of us thought it would, I think it best to take the snapshots at face value and see them for what they truly are.

Just a thought.
