I've been looking at this myself. Maybe Eva is afraid that her past is going to ruin Gideon. She got the sex tape, she's got him killing Nathan. I mean in all honesty Nathan being a POS doesn't take away the fact that Gideon killed him, and someone knows about it.

 Love this Sharon. LOL. I am wondering if she will go back to posting the snippets and the picture clues soon.

I just got choked up with the reminder of that scene Sharon. I'm going to have my tissues ready.

I agree with this post 100%.

Gideon needs the reassurance and validation that he never got from Lizzy. He needs to know that Eva loves him unconditionally, but until he trusts her completely he'll never be totally sure.

I think that it's much easier to shutdown and avoid. Gideon's past is painful and he's going to be hurting and he doesn't want anyone to see him like that. Obviously Eva loves him and wants to help him, but will he let her? Does he trust her enough to let her completely in?

Thank you Sylvia. Jeez my heartaches. I have to believe now that Eva is well on her way to recovery that she is strong enough to hold on to Gideon and help him battle his demons. It's going to be a rough road, but they can survive.

Hello Ladies. Thanks Mrs. C for starting this thread. Still trying to catch up on the others since my vacation and Book Bash... I'm feeling like I'll never be totally caught up.

Someone else mentioned this. Sylvia said she thought she could wrap up the story in 3, but quickly realized because of the issues it was going to take more books. Sylvia wants to get them both to a good place, but doesn't want to beat a dead horse so to speak so I thought that was a great answer. Many people mentioned they wanted the series to go on for FOREVER. She also has a title in mind for the last book, but won't share that until she's positive about it.

Sharon I think you felt better because you realize that Sylvia loves these two as much as we do.   Sylvia said she had to get Eva to a healthy place... strong so she could help Gideon deal with his issues. I also didn't get the sense that these two would be cheating. Eva does get herself into situations that aren't wonderful, but part of her healing is that she is able to walkaway without it becoming more so to speak. Old Eva would spread her legs or open her mouth for a man so she could feel loved. Even if it was only for mere minutes. New Eva realizes that she has to have more self respect. Dr. Travis helped her with a lot, but Gideon certainly has cemented that for her. She might still find Brett attractive, but she is no longer seeking validation through random sexual experiences. It's been a long road, but Eva finally knows she is worthy of so much more then a quick f*ck.

I'm going to go through the thread and answer whatever questions I can that Sharon hasn't already. I did ask her this specific question and she said she's not sure exactly since she is only about halfway through the story, but I'm not expecting a big jump in time, since she is sticking to the format the other books have had.

Hi Sheens! Thanks for all the pics in my absence. I'm still catching up, and that big author signing is this weekend and I'll be off to that tomorrow. So many theories to catch up on.

Thanks GiGi, it was nice, but now I'm recovering from my vacation. Finally finished all my laundry yesterday and still getting caught up on emails.

Morning GiGi, Â Your neighbor is correct on all accounts. This is certainly not justifiable homicide since it was most definitely premeditated. While I can clearly see that Nathan was a danger to Eva's well being, Gideon would not be able to use a justifiable homicide defense.

Welcome Rosie.  Detective Graves was lying to Eva.  Probably trying to trip her up.
