  Hi Tbidwell & Nathalia, If either of you ladies or any of the other ladies in the forum get a chance, you might want to try and give the publishing companies a phone call, to let them know that the delay of the book, is unacceptable. If you actually call or write a letter, it forces executives from the publishing companies to put someone on the phone or to actually sit and open letters.  Phone calls and actual physical mail has to be recorded and documented, which ensures that a person's complaint is actually being recorded. Unfortunately, some companies do not deal with incoming emails in the same way. There have been several documented cases, in Canada, where companies have reprimanded for "dumping" emails (i.e. not recording or responding to said emails appropriately, or dealing with the issue in the complaint email). I would think that the same situation may have occurred in the US as well, if not other countries. Â

Hi Everyone, I just wanted to let the ladies in the forum know that Maya Banks latest book: Colters' Gift has just been released. It also includes the never-released novella "Colters' Legacy has also been included in the printed version.  I am in the process of reading it, and thus far, it isn't bad. I like the characters in this book. The storyline also seems interesting. If anyone else finishes reading it, let me know what you think. Thanks ladies.  GiGiÂ

Hi Sharon, You are welcome.   Thanks for the information about Kallypso Masters. I am so excited about the next release...!! :D  Kallypso Masters has written a great series!! I wasn't expecting to like it, but thus far, it has been fantastic!!   She took a lot of care in her research and her characters feel so real! I felt like I was really in the moment when I was reading her books....ok, I could gush and gush and gush...but the even better news is the the book will be coming out in December!! Yea!  Now I have something to look forward to.  GiGiÂ

Hi Hotreads, I read your posting and I wonder if it would make any difference what-so -ever? Gideon had close to no relationship with his mother and he certainly hasn't taken or sought counsel from his mother. So what difference would it make if Corinne was friends, sought out a friendship with Elizabeth Vidal or even if Elizabeth Vidal sought out a friendship with Corinne?  If anything, Corinne accepting a friendship with Elizabeth Vidal would have put a strain on her potential budding relationship with Gideon. Gideon clearly dislikes his mother and stays clear of the remaining family members (several references were made in the first two books).  Surely Corinne couldn't have been that obtuse in not recognizing a very strained relationship between him and his mother? What does everyone think?Â

Hi Sscrph, You and the other forum members can call Penguin Publishing to express your dislike of the delay of the various book release dates. I am sure that if they field enough unhappy calls, they may decide to change their minds about the release dates.  I am not sure who is publishing the Afterburn/Aftershock books, but it might be worth investigating to see if it is a sister-company of Penguin, or something. A phone call or two, or ten thousand, may make the executives decide speed up the release dates.  It is just a thought.Â

Hi Fsumom, You are correct. We were never told who the second doctor was, that examined Gideon. So it does leave a lot of unanswered questions: Did the doctor see signs of abuse? Did he say something to Dr. Lucas? Did he cover up the abuse? Did he take a bribe or was hushed into not reporting his/her findings to CPS or the Police?Â
