You make a good point.  I think that what would make it work for Henry is that he has already made a name for himself as Superman.  As a matter of fact, I wonder if taking on a romantic role wouldn't be a good thing so he doesn't get type cast as a superhero. And he is going to do MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E.  Hugh Jackman really has diversified himself and I don't think anyone would identify him as only a superhero.  Broadway, leading man. To be Gideon, Henry would have to really show his stuff as an actor.  Yes, Gideon is uber se*ual, but he is a whole lot more.  I think that is his allure.  

 

Do we know if CROSSFIRE will be a miniseries or a series?  If it is a series, then I am not sure someone who is now establishing himself as a movie star such as Henry would take that on.  If it is a miniseries, then I think we have a chance.  

My thoughts, it will be like Twilight, casting less known actors and if the series is done true to the books, they burn up the small screen.  And yes we would all love to see Henry become Gideon I doubt he will fit into Lionsgate's budget or his current movie making schedule

 

and can I just say that my comments about Liam were based on a shot in the movie with him dressed all in black with beautiful blue eyes, looking super sexy

There is no doubt that Liam Hemsworth is cute.  I just can't see him getting past a "squeaky" clean image to play such a screwed up character.  I can't see him playing either Christian Grey or Gideon Cross.  Who knows though, maybe he has great acting abilities, and can pull either character off.

I just saw Paranoia movie (corp spying, not bloody!)  with Liam Hemsworth and Amber Heard (isn't she one of the Eva choices??)    But anyway he has the BLUE eyes we all imagine our man having !!!!  and is tall, built and the right age.    So what a surprise to see him dressed in a black suit, shirt, tie  (ala GC) just casually leaning against something.  He was defintely Gideon

The common thought is the red head is Anne Lucas - Dr Terry Lucas wife that Gideon had an affair with in the past. (and the sister of his abuser)

Magdalena is a childhood friend (Corrine is the EX) and has been 'in love' with Gideon for a long time.  She also was having s*e*x with Chris Jr, but he was using her.  

GiGi-I've read pretty much all of Maya Banks' books. Good reads. The Sweet Series has good stories in them. Some BDSM, but nowhere near the 50 Shades variety. It all worked well together. Here is the order (they all tie in)-

Sorry to disagree - and I did love these books -  but Temptation and Addiction are pretty heavy duty especially compared to 50 where alludes to what Christian has done in the past and wants Ana to do, these 2 go in detailed scenes.

I have just finished reading Maya Banks KGI Series and I loved it!  I am also officially bummed though because I have finished reading all of the books to date.

 

I was interested in reading Maya Banks Sweet Series.  Can someone tell me what that series is about please?  I would like to know what the series is about before I make the commitment to buying all of these books if the storylines are too hard core (heavy BDSM, etc.).

They are good BUT are definietly heavy duty BDSM  - not just kinky f**kery (if you know what I mean)  

 

If you like Maya, read her Colter family series, they are just hot sex LOL.  Go to her website and she has the reading order, they are good stories, Only the Colter's Daughter gets any BDSM but nothing compared to 'Sweet" books.

I'd like a whole chapter dedicated to Jax explaining what the heck is going on w/ him, his family and Pembrey. Why was Jax sent to Yeung? Or was he sent for Gia so that she'd get messed up about it, and then that would mess w/ Yeung? I re-read it again last night. I'm really enjoying this book. Seriously, all of Sylvia's books!

I do really like Gia though. Maybe Jax will show up in Atlanta...maybe Gia and Chad are partying at a club at the hotel...lol..then Jax shows up ( B/c he always seems to know where she is!) and things go down!

Heehe...just my imagination.

Yeah, it's definitely open for interpretation.  Gideon was making the press (and police) think they were broken up from Monday (the day after NC) on, but Eva formally broke up with Gideon that Saturday via phone (while he was at the police station answering questions).  After whichever date you choose as their break-up date, it was Tuesday + one week. 

I'm thinking they weren't back together until the night in her bedroom after their encounter in his foyer the beginning on EWY, so about 2wks plus another 2wks until they go public.  I think the Gideon needed the 'car ride' conversation to settle Eva down so she would stop stirring the pot with his mom, corrine and CV,Jr.  And most important to tell her about the abuse himself and ILY so she could stop drawing attention if the police were following her.   

Well, I am happy I am not the only one who thought Deanna's appearance was interesting.  Shocked me.  I do not think this is half a book.  Maybe a third of a book.  Just too short.  Annoying.

 

I am loving Gia a lot.  She is smart, motivated, and normal with a normal family.  Jax, on the other hand, is not nice.  Something pretty bad is brewing with him and his family.  I think he does care about Gia and maybe that is why he walked away from her.  Maybe he was protecting her from the nasty folks in his family.  But he isn't walking away from them.  Not crazy for him.

 

So, I am thinking that since these books and Crossfire take place in NY, maybe these characters will intertwine in the TV series?  Sylvia has to wind up some of the crap with Corinne and Anne and all those guys.  This crew brings a whole new world of intrigue. And maybe she split the book in 2 on purpose to keep conversation going.  I predict that CBY comes out right before or after Aftershock.  We will know a lot more about Deanna since I think she will be in both.

 

So Gideon is in another book?  How much?  Trying to decide if it is worth it to buy the book if he is just mentioned.

 

Sylvia is something.

Gideon's cameo is just that,  he is only mentioned 2x and there is no dialogue.   The story I mentioned is just a short story.

HI .... I have a Nook so not sure how it works with Kindle, but you can get the Nook App on smart phone, iPad and even on your PC so you could read digital copies without buying the e-reader.  You will have to establish an account but after that you should be good to go.  

 

Didn't think I would read on my phone but when I'm waiting in line for an appt it's really nice to just pull out my phone and read.

I love all of the Rossi brothers, maybe we will get stories about them in the future (like SD's Georgian series) and with the setting being in NYC it's possible that we might see some our old friends(?) from Crossfire.  She had a Gideon cameo appear in one of her other short stories about a diamond robbery - Blood & Roses.  

 

This is a great story line and it will interesing to see where it goes next.  In the meantime bring on the new Crossfire snippets and snapshorts

I was surprised when Deanna popped up as a friendly ex of Gia's brother Vincent.  Made me laugh.  And also that Gia wants her to dig up gossip on the Rutledge family.  We know she just the girl to do it too  

 

As usual, I think Jax has skeletons and doesn't want to pull Gia into that part of his life.  But her whole family thinks he loves her and she now agrees after finding both old and new pic of her.

 

Can't wait for the next part. 

Just finished the last book in the stark trilogy, I really enjoyed the books, no where near as good as Crossfire obviously but still a good read and the final book tied up alot of loose ends altho the last few chapters did feel a little rushed!

Now what to read next?!

HI, I just finished this book and while they have extremely hot sex i totally agree that she wraps it up really quick in the end.  

They had a good story and I'm sorry she its taking it further like Sylvia is w/Crossfire.

I agree.  I think Brett has seen the tape.  I am not sure he isn't even behind it.  GOLDEN is his big break.  Talk about press!!!!!  He has seen the pix of Gideon and Eva.  Seems like everyone has.  Imagine if it got out and the Eva in the song was THE Gideon Cross's girlfriend.

Sheena   They are by Raine MIller.  The 2 historic ones in order His Perfect Passion and The Undoing of a Libertine.  Then the modern day ones are #1 Naked, #2 All In and #3 Eyes Wide Open.  #4 The Muse comes out later ths summer it sounds like it will another historic one and then maybe there will the modern tie in later.    

A BiG THANKS   to whoever told us about the 2 prequels to the Blackstone Affair.  They were perfect and tied in the modern day story perfectly and it sounds like #4 will continue the old/new relationship.
