Hopefully Megumi is not hiding out because she betrayed Eva in some way after all she says herself she is a gossip... But I keep going over it in my mind and she wasn't really privy to a lot of Eva's confidences except for the night that they went out to dinner with Cary and he was teasing Eva about her love life... Maybe the NY POST will run with the headline GIDEON CROSS aka Marathon Man in the business world and in the bedroom ... Quote unquote LOL!!

I agree with this jls Lizzie did originally like Eva and as a matter of fact was shocked that Gideon revealed some of his past. I think Gideon's whole family realizes that the ICEMAN thawed a bit for Eva...

In my opinion Christopher hovers at the top of the list along with JFG for being a recipient of Eva's Krav Maga skills. At some point the jealousy after all these years is going to become too much for Christopher to bear and he's going to want to lash out at Gideon so he will through Eva. Gideon has warned Eva more than once about Christopher and actually after re reading BTY for the thousandth time LOL I was wondering if Gideon thought that Eva would succumb to Chris Jr that day at the garden party and that's way he raced out there to take her away... Anyway with all the attention being on Gideon due to the wedding, engagement etc Christopher's jealousy will be at an all time high.... . :(

That is my absolute favorite scene of EWY. I have read it numerous times. It is so intimate, passionate and riveting. It's GidEva at their obsessed best. Sylvia outdid herself on that scene and many others of course but that one is special. That's why you can't get the books out of your head!! . :)

No I think Gideon is definitely Geoffrey's son . Chris Jr just looks like Chris Sr. When Eva met him at the garden party she said Chris Sr reminded me of his son with his slate green eyes and boyish grin...

I agree with this Gigi I think Deanna was at this event where Anne was also and I think Gideon put the moves on her or as Eva says just crooked his finger and she came running. She was probably salivating lol . I do not think there is anything more to the Deanna "hook-up" but I do wonder what she was referring to when she told Eva he had a "dark side". Eva assumed this was a sexual reference but maybe not so much what do you all think?

I have always assumed he was already with the Vidals as Chris Sr. 's driver/bodyguard...

Hi all , re-reading BTY for the hundredth time and I was thinking if perhaps an old love of Eva's might be introduced in the next book; after all we didn't see Deanna coming. In BTY Eva states she had gotten farther with Gideon in one week than she had with relationships that had lasted 2 years. Perhaps she had a relationship with someone she attended SDSU with or in her masters program that she may come into contact with through her work or the visit to San Diego...
