  1. GHL My answer is two few. Â (I read your post to a friend and her answer is NO!!)
  2. Â Glad you liked my statement about Corinne. Â But girl, you already know he has MAJOR SKILLS unless you skipped some pages or you have your own way of hitting all those spots. Â It would not surprise me to see other women coming out of the woodwork in CBY.
  3. Thank you. Â I do hope "Capitavated by You" proves it was the medication and ultimately she finds happiness with Giroux. Â It is better to have a man who loves you and that you care for then to pine after someone you will never have even in fiction.
  4. Yes we do until, like Magdalena, we cut our hair and move on to Gage.
  5. Thank you for the analysis. I love discussions in this form. I think Corinne, like Magdalena, thought Gideon was still in love with her. We know he never did love her even though they spent several years in an exclusive relationship. I do not think he said one thing and did another. I do think Corinne put her own spin on what he did because she wanted it to be more like women often do. When I wrote my comment I thought about the book and movie "He's Just Not That Into You". Personally when I read the Gideon-Corinne relationship, I found it very realistic. A man behaves a certain way because he feels he should, there is nothing else and it does not require a lot of effort. When Corinne left and he did not follow, that was him saying loud and clear "I do not care!" Gideon would continue to talk to Corinne during the years after their break-up and help her in New York because he was not angry and did not hold a grudge. If Corinne had said no to Gideon he would have taken someone else. As Magdalena said maybe Corinne should not have made herself so available. I do not think he should feel guilty since he told her his feelings. When Gideon falls for someone as he did for Eva, he lets nothing stand in way including his own rules to have her.
  6. Regarding Gideon sending Corinne mixed messages If a man tells you while you are still in Europe with your husband that he has met someone and it is the first time in 5 or 6 years that he has said that and he walks out on you after you flew across the pond to see him to follow her when she leaves him and he will not be intimate with you even though he had been in the past and he tells you there is no future with him for you and he won't return your phone calls and he will not kiss you and he calls your husband to come for you then regardless of a few dinners, his message is very clear. He is just not into you and you should take the hint.
  7. We know Gideon told Elizabeth about Hugh's abuse but we do not know when. Had the abuse gone on for weeks, months or years? Was Elizabeth as clueless as Monica? When Gideon told her and she did not believe him, was anything done to remove him from harm or did Hugh continue to have contact? Gideon has told us he did not have consensual sex until he met Corinne at college. Has Elizabeth been given too much of a pass because she believed Dr Terrence?
  8. I love your observation. How could I have forgotten about the possibility of awesome sex. I thought Gideon may have only put forth a minimal effort since Cary proved Ann does not need much. That really does not speak well for Dr. terry. (Lowercase intentional) LOL
  9. FYI
  10. Thank you so much!!! I look forward to both.
  11. Does anyone else find it strange that Ann Lucas, probably in her late thirties/early forties, was willing to leave her husband for Gideon who was in his mid twenties? Does she have mother complex?
  12. Always liked Ryan as a second choice after Henry for Christian Grey.. Found a picture of Ryan Gosling with long, dark hair and saw him do a shower scene in "Blue Valentine"....what a great backside! Maybe Ryan could play Gideon.
  13. Â Thank you!! Â I will pass on your comment to him.
  14. http://www.forbes.com/special-report/2013/fictional-15/  1. Scrooge McDuck 2. Smaug 3. Carlisle Cullen  Christian Grey was #8
  15. Lionsgate missed a great publicity opportunity. Â Forbes magazine published the 15 richest fictional characters. Â Gideon Cross should have been #5 instead of Charles Foster Kane of "Citizen Kane" at $11.2B. Â Number 4 was Tony Stark, "Ironman" at $12.4B. Â Those of us who follow this site are already fans but think of the "buzz" for the upcoming television series for those who do not yet know about Gideon plus great publicity for the whole Crossfire book series.
  16. My husband told me this morning that Charlie Hunnam is out of FSoG. Â I think that is the power of public opinion. Â I hope Henry is finished with "The Man from U.N.C.L.E." and "Superman and Batman" in time to be Gideon. Â When my husband asked me why Henry, I told him he is "THE PACKAGE" (shouty capitals) Â PS Thanks for the eye candy!!
  17. I agree I soooo hope I am wrong!
  18. I also put this in the "Music" topic
  19. The lyrics below were performed by Della Reese.  You can find her performance on "YouTube".  I thought it would make a good waltz for Gideon and Eva at the advocacy dinner but if sung, then it should be by a man  Don't you know I have fallen in love with you For the rest of my whole life through Don't you know I was yours from the very day That you happened to come my way Can't you see I'm under your spell By the look in my eyes Can't you tell, can't you tell Now, don't you know Every beat of my heart keeps crying out I love you so Don't you know Don't you know Every beat of my heart keeps crying out I love you so Don't you know  The song was adapted from an aria ("Musetta's Waltz") from Puccini's La Boheme.
  20. Based on the hints of difficulties in "Captivated by You", any chance the wedding will be in the fifth book? Â That is a scary thought but the fifth book could still be in the time frame of this fall.
  21. I like Charlie Barnett from Chicago Fire (television show) for Mark Garrity http://chicagofire.wikia.com/wiki/Charlie_Barnett And maybe Taylor Kinney as Steven Elison
  22. Love that too. Â I actually thought about posting it too.
  23. I orginally posted this on "The Lionsgate.." topic and it was suggested I post it here too
