I was wondering the same thing Sscrph; which State did Monica come from originally? How did she wind up in New York? All of your suggestions are all plausible because we don't know anything about Monica's background yet.

If Geoffrey was murdered, do you think that it could be one of the characters we have already been introduced to or is it someone new?Â

Hi Sharon, After thinking about the description of what the library layout looked like; do you think that it is possible that Christopher Jr. accidently saw the therapist abusing Gideon (there was mention of glass doors) and the therapist who was busy abusing Gideon not notice?  It reminds me of the scene when Magdalene walked (or should I say, saw Gideon performing oral on Eva). Although Gideon didn't notice, Eva saw her and made eye contact with her? What do you think? What does everyone think?

Really good idea Sharon! Now who's got the tranquilizer gun? I can't see Elizabeth Vidal going anywhere voluntarily to "help Gideon with his problems" if she suspects for even one second that she is the one who is going to be ambushed.Â

Hi Sharon, If that is the case then when Elizabeth Vidal realizes just what a mess she created by sticking her head in the sand (i.e. by not believing her son), I don't think that she is going to be ok and will probably need serious therapy.

  Hi Avid Reader & Kirsten, That seems to be the million dollar question: Was Elizabeth Vidal blind-sided because she gave the ring to Gideon thinking that it would be going to Corinne or was she blind-sided because she knew that the ring had been seized and sold years before to recoop looses from her hubbies' criminal actions?   I hope the next book addresses this issue.Â

Hi Dgcaffeine & Ladies, Has the publishing firm been decided upon? It was my understanding that there were issues from the last publication that may or may not have caused Sylvia to consider another publishing firm. I could be wrong, but I thought that was one of the reasons for the hold up.  Does anyone have any information that they could share? Thanks in advance.Â

  I think that you may be onto something Julie. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if Eva was kidnapped...I don't know how much my heart could take having to wait to see how Eva's rescue comes about. The waiting between the books has been really challenging and I think that given a scenario like that, it would be pure torture!  Sscrph, don't even tease about Book 4 and 5 being released together...  I would absolutely love for both books to be released! It would certainly ease the "waiting".Â

Hi Dgcaffeine, That is plausible. He*l hath no fury like a woman scorned; or so the saying goes. I think that it would be entirely possible that Deanna may have started "stalking" Gideon after he and Eva came out as a couple.Â

Hi Sscrph, I agree with you. Who exactly knows what Deanna meant when she said that Gideon had a "dark side". Maybe Deanna did some digging on Gideon post "coitus interuptus or lack there of ...is... (just kidding) and she found out a little bit about Gideon's past; card counting, father's ponzi scheme, suicide, etc.?  Somehow I would find it difficult to believe that Deanna would be able to dig up something substantial on Gideon's background,given the fact that thus far, he has been meticulous about remaining private. What do you think? What does everyone think?
