Interview starting now - and I'm listening. She's via phone from Los Angeles. NOTE: the interview is coming in segments between songs -- i.e. the station format is that the DJ is alternating talking with Sylvia and playing songs. So if you click on the link and hear music and say W T F, you are in the right place. Keep listening.

Gideon DID kill Nathan -- Sylvia just said so during the interview. I've started an entire new thread for that revelation.

The host's exact question was "Did Gideon kill Nathan for Eva?" Sylvia's reply was "Yes. Yes he did."

Something else she mentioned was it's possible that the series might even go into five books. "I need to tell the story and however long it will take to tell it ..."  I'm going to re-post that in the More Than Three Books thread. Putting that into context, Sylvia explained that all three books together thus far cover only two months total of the relationship, no jumps forward in time.

Will Gideon and Eva be together is another question the host asked. Her response there was, "Can you imagine either of those characters letting the other go?"

On a side note listening to some if the music this station is playing has been torturous. ;)

It was worth suffering through bad 1980s adult contemporary music just to hear Sylvia between songs.

Sigh!

Today a dream has died.  It is official, Gideon killed Nathan...Yuck!  So much for Monica and her crazy antics...unless Sylvia is waiving another "red herring"...I know, I know, this one will be hard to accept. Sigh!

I was kinda wondering this too

C'mon alternate theory believers, how much clearer can Sylvia be.

Everything always has pointed at Gideon. Nowhere, in the story itself nor in any responses to spoiler questions has she in any way whatsoever even hinted that anyone else but Gideon stabbed Nathan.

  • The last six pages of Reflected and all the red flags those pages contains
  • The already released excerpt of part of chapter one of Entwined with the red flags there too, biggest of which was Gideon saying "What I did ...."

Now Sylvia asked point-blank in a live interview by a radio show host the ULTIMATE spoiler question, "Did Gideon kill Nathan for Eva?"

Several of us here, myself included, listened to the interview live via streaming over the Internet. That's exactly how the show host asked the question (I took notes the whole time). Her exact answer to that spoiler question was ....

"Yes. Yes he did."

It's Friday! Twice-weekly snapshot will come this morning (likely around 9 a.m. U.S. Eastern Time based on when all the other ones thus far have hit the Internet.)

Today will be a glimpse into Chapter 10. Recap of the snapshots of chapters 1-9:

1. The word "Press" super-imposed over a fuzzy background shot of a newspaper page. A fancy pen in the foreground.

2. Unwrapped Christmas present boxes

3. The word "Business" next to a cup of coffee

4. A microphone on a stand

5. A pile of neatly-folded white terrycloth towels, wrapped in a red ribbon.

6. A bathtub in a modern-style bathroom

 7. An open bottle of red wine, nearly full, and in front of it, one wine glass holding some wine. Near it is a small vase holding four red roses.

8. Two different types of pills in blister packs plus a bottle of some sort of liquid medication. The meds are on a glass coffee table in front of a white couch.

9. Fuzzy shot of a crowded dance floor. One woman in the center of the shot is in semi-focus.

Here is the link to the page on sylviaday.com where you can see all the previous snapshots (and all of the snippets too) -- and where today's snapshot will be posted:

I really thought it was Gideon!! I'll admit there were some really good points made here, that had me second guessing myself. lol

We can continue to talk about who helped him -- because I'm convinced he did not act alone.

My own theory is that Angus was an accomplice -- that is, actively participating in the killing.

I'm open to the idea that other people might have been accessories.

I'm OK with the fact that Eva now at the very least is engaging in obstruction of justice and possibly even rising to the level of accessory after the fact.

Because my belief is that Nathan was going to kidnap her, rape her again on videotape, kill her horribly and dump her body where he hoped it would never be found -- then use the millions he extorted from Stanton and Monica to flee the country. He'd have killed more than Eva herself, too. Gideon would have followed her into the grave soon after by killing himself. Cary probably would have turned back to drugs and died young too. Monica and Victor would have gone through the rest of their lives wishing sometimes they were dead.

Was it wrong for Gideon to take the law into his own hands instead of going to the police? Oh yes. But is this really murder, or it is justifiable homicide? I think it's the latter.

Snapshot # 10

Pictures a very expensive women's watch -- gold and diamonds.

My thought - this chapter has something to do with either Eva's or Gideon's mother, either of whom would wear something like that. My bet is it's Elizabeth Vidal, and some sort of important revelation concerning her and Gideon's dark past is in Chapter 10.

tell me more about the radio interview...what else did she say?

Dying to know

The other major revelation was that the Crossfire Series might even go into a 5th novel.

Sylvia told the host that she will continue for however long it takes to tell the story. She explained to the host that even though some people naturally assumed it would end as a trilogy, the fact of the matter is that the current three books all together cover only a total of two months of Gideon and Eva being involved with one another.

And no, she didn't reveal a name for Book Four nor indicate any sort of timeline for when the Crossfire novels beyond Entwined will be published. Nor did she get into how far along, if at all, she is into writing Crossfire beyond the completed Entwined.

Of course, the host asked the other big spoiler question - will Gideon and Eva be together. Sylvia's exact answer was, "Can you imagine either of those characters letting the other go?"

The rest of the interview, which came in segments between songs and commercials, were larger questions about Sylvia as an author, with her explaining how it took ten years to become an overnight success.

Really thew biggie was that Gideon DID kill Nathan. I never doubted that, but I am wondering who was in on it.

She also said that the series will be 4-5 books. They've sold 7 million copies. She also said that people are always asking her if Gideon and Eva are going to have their HEA and her reply is can you imagine either one letting the other go? Or something along those lines. LN posted pretty much the whole interview verbatim on one of the threads, I just can't remember which one.
