To be honest I'm in my lab for experience, marijuana research is not something I'm very interested in as far as persuing that in the future. The study I'm in its in its infancy now so I wont be a part of it until the end (got other things to do with my life lol) but if by the time it is published and we're all still on the forum then ill definitely let you know! I was just wondering  Hi Donna, I just wanted to add that for some kids who smoke pot wind up with schizophrenia or other severe mental illnesses. Researchers don't know why, but some kids who smoke marijuana are more susceptible to mental illness. Something in the brain gets affected or damaged somehow. They are doing research to try and figure out why that occurs. It really is very interesting research. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

As Eva told him, stow the guilt and move on . If he had done this earlier, Corinne would not have been in this picture and thus no mixed signals would have been sent. Less is more in this situation. And not only that, Corinne may not want Gideon to see her in her present condition just making things more difficult for her . On the other hand, if she took the pills on purpose he is playing right into her hands... Eva needs to put a stop to this ...In other words, Gideon needs to stop contact with Corinne as soon as YESTERDAY!!! IMO...  Hi Sscrph, You are correct, Corinne may not want Gideon to see her like this. What human being would want another person to see them when they were scraping the bottome of the barrel? The only place where we differ is that Gideon needs to put a stop to this entire situation. Gideon created this situation and I think that Gideon needs to clean it up.  I don't see this storyline playing out for too much longer though. Where else would someone go with this? At some point the storyline loses it's validity and people get bored and maybe even p***d off. I hope Sylvia wraps this up quickly. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If what you are saying is true, that Corinne walked away because it had become clear Gideon couldn't open up to her / couldn't marry her. What more can he say? He's not going to tell her about his abuse, all he can really do is apologise for not being more honest with her at the time - which I totally agree he should do. However, I don't think Gideon sending her mixed messages for a couple of weeks is enough to make her mentally ill. Sure, it could have made her worse, but I think her mental illness stems from her inability / unwillingness to see the truth. She walked away because she realised Gideon didnt love her like she loved him, yet she's convinced herself that Gideon was pining for her all these years. She's convinced herself that she loves this man she doesn't really know, instead of opening her heart to the man she's with, who loves her, married her etc... she's convinced herself that JFG is indifferent to her, which is not something I get from him in the book. He clearly loves her, but he's a bit of a coward, or maybe he's sick and tired of living in the shadow of Gideon's memory! If that's the case Corinne's relationship / mental illness problems are of her own making and while I think Gideonn should apologise for not being more honest with Corinne all those years ago. I don't think he should continue to feel guilt for HER actions, since the end of their relationship 7 odd years ago. Do you see what I mean? Gideon can't tell her anything she doesn't already know - the problem is that she doesn't want to accept it. In the last chapter of EWU, while Gideon is helping Eva is getting ready  for the charity event: he makes a comment about showing off his wife, Eva says, no one knows I am your wife. Gideon's response; "I know it." He came up behind me and secured my zipper. "And soon -really soon- the whole world will know it."  I do think that the news will hit, via Deanna about their wedding on the island. I am having second thoughts on whether or not the photos will be released. But I think by Saturday this will be the top society news. This needs to be made public to help the couple move forward in dealing with the video, Brett, Corinne & the families. I think on Friday Eva will take her mother to lunch & break the news to her; promising that she can still plan the second New York wedding. Eva will tell Cary on Friday. When Eva gets to San Diego she can tell her dad and also ask him to walk her down the aisle. Gideon will tell Ireland. I think that Gideon lets Eva go to San Diego with Cary, he has to trust her, but there will be security. But , Gideon will fly out on Saturday to deal with the s*x tape. Eva will confront Brett by herself about her & Gideon being married, so no chance for Brett. She might have to use a little Krav Maga. Gideon & Elizabeth will have to have a showdown. Gideon will not let Elizabeth bad mouth Eva or try to blame Eva for his problems. I think that he will pay a visit to mommy dearest & lay it on the line. Gideon will tell her she needs to accept certain truths or forget having him in her life at all. Gideon will have to face the abuse and his feelings of guilt over Corinne in order to heal. Thankfully, he will have Eva by his side to face all of these things. It will make him stronger, since they can face the problems together. Not quite sure about Megumi, worried that she has been sick. Did her boyfriend assault her, could her boyfriend be Christopher Jr. The other thing is I am not to sure about Will, the new guy at the office. The 10th floor is going to be for Eva. This will be for her foundation. Will she also take over running Gideon's foundation -Crossroads. Mark will come work there also. Monica has to come clean with Eva about her past. I do not think that she was an escort or call girl. I think she is definitely ashamed of what she had to do to  make a living when Eva was young, before her first marriage. Has she lost the money that she got in that divorce? Did she have to bail out husband 2, or does she have a connection to the mob because of him? Is the marriage between her & Stanton loveless? Is this more of a business transaction: he needs a trophy wife, Monica needs the security of money & social position. Stanton will give Monica everything she needs & take care of Eva, if Monica is there on his arm & fulfilling all the social needs. When Monica was pregnant with Eva , I wonder if she still had contact with Victor. I think she must have; she agreed to name Eva after Victor's mom. With this being said, I think that Victor must have contact with Monica & Eva; I don't think he would have let her job be as an escort or the like.  But then I wonder if maybe she was a show girl in Vegas.
